I have tips for anyone struggling with Senessax and Bayle!

How to Beat Ancient Dragon Senessax

For Senessax you can summon the albinauric lady with the arrows. Do NOT try to fight them. Just run around on torrent and be patient. She will kill him. Don’t run towards her. Whoever thought putting A Placcidusax wannabe in water was very souls like. I’m level 380 with 60 vigor, level 7 shards and he still one-shots me.

Attacks & Counters

Flying Dragon’s Fire Breath:

• The dragon flies above you and breathes fire down at you. To avoid this, roll left or right a few times until the attack is over.

Flying Bite:

• The dragon will fly away for a bit, then come back quickly to bite you. Right before the bite hits the ground under you, roll either right or left.

Lightning Stomp:

• When you’re close, the dragon will raise its arms and stomp the ground near you with lightning. Roll left or right two times just before the stomp hits. Roll twice because the lightning will explode when it hits.

Lightning Swing:

• When you’re close, the dragon will raise its right arm and swing left with lightning. You can dodge this by rolling back just before the swing gets to you. Roll more than once because the swing will have lightning that goes forward.

Double Lightning Stomp:

• When you’re close, the dragon will raise both arms and stomp the ground near you with lightning. You can dodge this by rolling back a few times just before it hits the ground.

Wing Wave:

• When the dragon gets hurt, it will wave its wings and blow you away with wind. This attack can make you stagger, so rolling back a few times can help you avoid the wind.

How to Beat Bayle The Dread

For Bayle, a mimic with frost dragon incantations seemed to be really effective. Rot of course I couldn’t confirm if it was working. Summon CURSE YOU BAYLE first. Dodge the first attack since he will cheap shot you the moment you enter the arena. After he’s distracted, summon your mimic. Poke him with ranged attacks. You don’t want him aggroed on you one bit. Bloodhound step is your friend.

Attacks & Counters

Fatal Bites:

• Bayle will bite you and hold you while throwing you down many times. This can kill you. When you see Bayle getting ready to jump at you with fire in his mouth, you can dodge forward or to the side to avoid it.

Fatal Stomp:

• Bayle will jump and quickly hover over you, then stomp on you. In the second phase, there will be a second explosion around Bayle. When you see Bayle in the air, run as far as you can to avoid the stomp. Roll when he reaches the top of his jump.

Sweeping Lightning Breath:

• Bayle will breathe fire and lightning from one side of the arena to the other. While Bayle is breathing fire and lightning, you can roll through the fire to avoid getting hurt.

Downward Lightning Breath:

• Bayle will breathe fire and lightning below him, covering a big area under him. You can roll out of the area or run as far as you can to avoid it.

Beam Lightning Breath:

• Bayle will breathe fire and lightning toward you for a short time. You can dodge to either side to avoid the attack.

Lightning Smite:

• Bayle will roar and call down many lightning strikes on the player after a short wait. You can avoid this by running or rolling a lot.

Lunging Claw Stab:

• Bayle will jump forward and stab with his claw. When you see Bayle getting ready to jump, you have time to dodge to the sides to avoid it.

Lunging Bite Multiattack:

• Bayle will sweep with his right wing, then left wing, before biting forward. You can avoid this by running back or under Bayle’s body.

Lunging Stab Multiattack:

• Bayle will sweep with his right wing, then left wing, before striking down with a lightning spear that explodes. In the second phase, the final strike will also make lightning explode in a line away from Bayle. You can avoid this by running back or under Bayle’s body.

Tail Swipe:

• Bayle will spin and use his tail to swing at you. When you see Bayle turning around, that’s when you should time your roll to avoid getting hurt.

Energy Explosion:

• Bayle will stand still and make molten marks on the ground around him. After he’s done, Bayle and the marks will explode, hurting you a lot. Bayle will also grow ghost wings. This attack shows the start of the second phase and can be used whenever after that. Run back from Bayle and use ranged attacks to hurt him safely.

Dive Bomb:

• After an Energy Explosion, Bayle can fly into the air, go halfway around the arena, and crash down into the player. While flying, Bayle will make flame projectiles that shoot at the player. You can dodge the flame projectiles by running to the side or by rolling. You can dodge the dive bomb by rolling into Bayle as he slides past you.

Flying Strafe:

• Bayle will fly into the air and hover for a bit before sweeping across the whole arena, breathing fire that covers most of it. After the first pass, Bayle will hover again for a bit before making a second pass with a more focused beam. The path of the beam will explode again soon after the fire passes. You can dodge the first pass by rolling through the flames. You can dodge the second pass by rolling through the beam or to the side, then rolling to the side of the beam’s path to avoid the explosion.
