How Do Barn Finds Work?

As you progress through your Forza career, you’ll unlock so-called barn finds. Only the rough area is shown to you as a large purple circle on the world map – you have to find the actual barn with the secret vehicle yourself. By the way, there is no point in driving to the location of the barn before the official activation in the game. You have to wait for someone ingame to inform you about the new barn. So say the law.

Viper GTS ACR

The sporty Viper GTS ACR hides in the woods of Gran Pantano north of the main road. When you call up the world map, it is best to place a marker in the second A of Pantano with the view zoomed in to the maximum. There the barn find is hidden in the middle of the trees. Barns no longer look like corrugated iron silos in Forza Horizon 5, so don’t let the buildings fool you.

Ferrari F40

The rustic F40 can be found almost 200 meters west of the Horizon Baja Festival in the Riviera Maya. You can ignore the large swamp area north of Pantano de la Selva. Just head strictly west of the Baja festival building and you’ll come across the barn find.

Ferrari 250 GTO

The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO can be found in the northeast corner of the world map, directly northeast of the 11 Los Jardines sign that can be seen on the world map. The barn itself is at the end of an unmarked country lane that leads off a marked country lane.

1953 Chevrolet Corvette

Okay, the position of this classic car is a bit difficult to describe. Highway 11 leads to the northeastern part of Mexico on the world map. You’ll also find the 250 GTO barn find there, but head south a bit early and you’ll be in snazzy 1953 Corvette territory.

The barn itself is within walking distance of the Autobahn, so you don’t have to drive all the way down to the drift track, just grab the thing as you drive by. Details as always on the screenshots.

Ford F100

The Ford F100 is hidden on the world map between Tierra Prospera and Autobahn 11, the concrete barn is clearly visible in the middle of the purple circle. So if you follow the drift course and then turn across country, you should see the barn quite clearly. If not, feel free to use the drone view in the menu to make your search easier. However, our pictures should provide clarity anyway.

Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock

This barn find is easy to locate. In the southern part of the world map you will find the ruins of Teotihuacan. If you zoom in on the world map as far as possible and place a marker on the last three letters of the Teotihuacan name, you will land directly on the barn find. The shed is on the edge of a large field, but it’s best to orientate yourself from the ruined city to the southeast, then you’ll quickly find the place and Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock.

GMC Jimmy

The 1970 GMC Jimmy is a little tougher nut to crack. So does the car itself, but you better pack rubber boots for the barn find, because it gets wet and muddy. If you look at the world map, scroll exactly to the middle and then go all the way south to the end of the map, then you are within the radius of this barn find.

There are two good routes to the exact location. Either you drive straight west from the Horizon Wilds Festival into the middle of the river and forest country or you orientate yourself at the ancient ruins of Atlantes de Tula. From there you jet into the river country in a southeasterly direction. Our screenshots will help you with exact navigation.

Jaguar Sport XJR-15

The Jaguar Sport XJR-15 is probably the easiest barn find to find in all of Forza Horizon 5. You cruise to the southwest of the world map to Aerodromo en la Selva, which is the airfield in the middle of the jungle. The barn find itself is just south of this airfield, just past the security fence on a hill. Because the circle is quite small, you can hardly miss the barn.

Toyota T100 Baja Truck

It’s off to the desert for the Toyota T100 Baja Truck. Drive directly to the west coast of Mexico, west of the large world map lettering Baja California. There you will find a huge circular irrigation field in the middle of cacti and a lot of desert. The barn stands at the foot of a hill on the south-eastern edge of this irrigation field. This barn is also fairly easy to find.

Renault R4 Export

The small Renault R4 Export hides in the blazing sunshine in the middle of a ridge in the desert. The exact position is difficult to describe: You first drive along the west coast all the way north and then turn east at the edge of the map. There’s a lot of desert sand waiting for you there, as well as various hills full of cacti, rocks and… well… more sand. You will find the barn at the end of a dirt road that is very difficult to see. It’s best to look at our screenshots, then things will become much clearer.

Ford Racing Escort Mk1

On to the volcano! To get the Fort Racing Escort, drive up the big volcano in the north of the map – but don’t worry, you don’t have to go all the way to the top. While you are on the switchback up, turn east on the second bend onto the small gravel road. There is also an XP sign there. Follow the path and you will promptly end up at the barn. To make it even easier for you, you can place a marker directly over the first L of La Gran Caldera on the world map. Because that’s where the barn is.

Porsche 911 Carrera RS

Okay, another difficult barn find to describe. The Porsche 911 rests east of the large volcano in the north of the map. However, we would not recommend you to drive down all the switchbacks from above into the valley, but to start directly by fast travel somewhere north of Colinas Aridas. Then work your way up the volcano from the east and leave the serpentine in the first corner. The barn is hidden at the foot of the mountain.

BMW 2002 Turbo

The BMW 2002 Turbo is again comparatively easy to find. The barn find is hidden on the side of the road northwest of the large city of Guanajuato. Just follow the main road out of town into the purple circle and pay attention to the roadside on your right. At some point a small slope leads down behind a few houses – that’s where the barn is.

Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback

Not only is this Ford Mustang one of the most beautiful cars ever made, it’s also super easy to find. As with the BMW 2002 Turbo, the barn can be found near the large city of Guanajuato, but this time to the northeast. Head out of town on the main road, then turn north, follow the road for a while and you’ll automatically find the barn find on your left. Easy.
