Why Can’t I Resurrect Zombies?

There are several possible reasons why you cannot resurrect a zombie. Check the requirements and preparation steps below.

Resurrection Requirements

You need:

• Reanimation Technology
• The “Second Chance” concept
• The Necronomicon from Gunter and Donkey’s quest line
• Enough PR limit remaining to prepare the bodies

You can resurrect 3 zombies using materials from the morgue, but you cannot resurrect more without the Necronomicon.

You also cannot prepare a body if you have no PR limit remaining. The “Good Fellow” perk and the PR machine can be used to increase or manage the limit.

Preparing the Zombies

Before attempting to resurrect a zombie:

• Make sure all organs are present in the corpse, excluding flesh, blood, and fat.
• It is recommended to place all zombie fluids and collars in a chest before Envy (green) Day.

How to Resurrect Zombies

1. Wait until Envy (green) Day.
2. Place 1 to 4 prepared zombies on the Redirection Table.
3. Press Inspect for each zombie.
4. Select the collar you want to use and place it in the collar slot.
5. Press Prepare before leaving the inspection screen. If you do not press Prepare, the collar will not be charged and laced onto the zombie, and the body will not be strapped to the table.
6. Go to the center console and press Resurrect.
7. Pick the zombies off the table.

If you still cannot resurrect a zombie after following these steps, a step may have been missed or the game may be bugged.

PR Limit

You cannot prepare a zombie if you have no PR limit remaining.

The source identifies two ways to increase or manage the limit:

• The “Good Fellow” perk can increase the limit by +10.
• The PR machine can be used on Gluttony Day.

Why Won’t Zombies Farm?

To make zombies work on the farm, you need:

• Gardener Stand, unlocked through the Farming → Zombie Gardening technology.
• Farm Signs, which are used to specify what you want the zombie to farm and where.

Setting Up a Zombie Farmer

1. Set the zombie on the Gardener Stand.
2. Check the level of the crop.
3. Check the zombie’s Gardening level using the grass symbol when inspecting the zombie.
4. Give the zombie a shovel if needed.
5. Use the Farm Signs to specify what you want the zombie to farm and where.
