Heretic’s Fork – How to Beat Endless Endlessly

You know the flesh is weak and your towers stand on foundations of salt and sand when faced with sinners buffed with 1043094720243756354023 HP. Fret not though, in my unbridled ambition and infinite wisdom I shall bless thee with the limitless potential of ACTIVE abilities to punish sinners for eternity, or at least until you end your shift. This will also help with the achievement Big Playa, which requires you to punish 20,000 sinners in a single run, not like the 200,000 and myself in my original run since I did not know how the scoring worked and thought 1 punished sinner = 1 point.

Setting Up

Obviously we want strong foundations for a strong build and the selectable grandma Niya Biblyat has her extra draw and +2 power charges creating a starting hand with the potential to get a purple tower/garrison on the first turn.Personally, the unholy MG, judgement and Gravitational push are ideal but whatever build of consistent dps, burst dps and crowd control should be fine though only unholy damage receives critical bonuses and judgement works extremely well with Gravitational push.

Since Grandma will be dying of old age with every extra draw, both Blood Clot and Blessing of Protection will provide the extra bit of survival we need and give a bit of synergy to cards that require shield. Similarly Struggle will give more CC and active abilities that deal damage will be helpful later since at any point in the game a purple Invigaron or Butcher of Sins is presented we will need them for the core of this build.

Building for damage and other tower aspects should be secondary to these things, but relevant enough to invest in at least a small amount. I specifically built for crit and a small amount of atk/projectile speed.

Butcher of Sins and the Build

Butcher of Sins sets all enemies HP to 1, the drawback however is the cool down time of something like 60s which will turn plenty of people away. In endless mode the enemy hp starts going up to some funny numbers so this active ability is pretty much a necessity for a ‘very’ long run. Combine enough invigarons through duplicating, deck searching and just normal collecting (with luck) and the active abilities can effectively carry your game without any towers or garrisons.

With the little cc from our setup, Butcher of Sins will consistently have enough time to wipe a map and effectively make your endless run, ‘endless’.

  1. Butcher of Sins + 40 and more purple invigarons + full set of “… them all” and towers + garnizons + other activ are useless

  2. if you want to make it even more ridiculous (or just make it work on the new patch) do the following:
->get any of the items that convert 80% of all damage to whichever damage type
->get said type to i think ~225% (which mind you isn’t too hard to do)
    ->and that’s it.

Since Butcher of Sins does damage to set the health of everything on screen it benefits from these items, thus 80% of the 50% of damage can be amplified by any elemental buff, bringing it to and over 100% so instant kills.

At some point the display will glitch out and show the elemental damage as 0 but i assure you it still works as it carried me to 451k without issues

as a side note you get those items for finishing a shift using only a single damage type

  3. I’m not sure this achievement is possible anymore with this build – I don’t think its possible to scale damage high enough or increase the recharge rate enough to get past the 150k point mark.

I tried this build and around 15 purple invigarons and still didn’t seem enough based on the butcher of sins nerf, even with over 1000% tower damage and around 600% unholy damage

  4. I only played since yesterday, and today there seems to be several balance changes! Notably Butcher of Sins reduces enemies to half health now, but I think It’ll still be super useful in higher endless.

  5. This is the way. I had an otherwise great run today with Repenters (Hellfire suicide bombers) and One Man Army, and more upgrades than I could shake a stick at, but no Butcher of Sins. By far the strongest run I’ve ever had, but enemy HP scales insanely fast later on, and the game starts lagging on long runs. I made it to 50,000 sinners before the lag was so bad it basically froze the game. I’m not sure how many thousands of times I had to hit each spawner boss monster, but it was ridiculous. Butcher of Sins is the only way to make the Endless mode truly endless. I do recommend Hellfire though. The hellfire healing makes you basically immortal.
