Game Settings

How do I backup/delete my save files locally?

You should be able to find your save file here.

Save File Location:

C:\Users\Computer System Username\AppData\LocalLow\DefaultCompany\Wulin\Your steamID (Remember to show hidden files)

If you wish to delete your saves manually, you could simply delete the save files. Same if you wish to make a back-up copy. Remember to keep the folder name unchanged when you are pasting them.

Why is there black edge under Full Screen

“Heroes’ Adventure” is mainly developed with Pixel Arts. Most of our assets were made with 640*360 which could easily fit 16:9 ratio. However, for other special-shaded screens & resolution ratios, stretching the assets might cause the images to become blurred or out of shape. Therefore, we use black edge to ensure the display quality of the game for certain resolutions.

You may also consider trying Windowed mode for non 16:9 ratios.

Gameplay

How do I earn money

Even heroes would require money to survive. Most of NPCs in-game have their favorites for trading. Selling them the goods they want might be the most direct way to earn money. For example, you could slay beasts and sell them to the butcher, sell lumbers to woodman, or sell ores to blacksmiths. You could also earn rewards by completing request from Cities or Factions. Furthermore, you could try participating in auctions, finding treasure with treasure maps.

Enemies to strong/ How do I improve my character

You could train with dummies inside your faction, or compete with other martial artists in the Martial Clubs of each city.’

How to play/Is there main questline for the game

“Heroes’ Adventure” is more like an open-world game. The game encourages players to explore and discover the world freely. There is no Must-do quests in game, you could even ignore the opening quest directly if you wish.

How to unlock the Southwest region

Go to the Nameless Village.
Walk to the Southwest of the village, Look for the lighter green cross mark on the map.
Take the leftmost exit.
Use force to break through.
Pass Wuxian Mountain.

You will now be in the Southwest Region, go to the Abandoned Courtyard to unlock the 3 locations.

Recruiting Miao Caidie + Melody

To recruit both Miao Caidie and the 3 Melody Girls, you need to avoid the Jiuli Tribe questline, marry Miao Caidie first, then do the Melody Quest. To recruit Miao Caidie, you need Level 4 Beast Taming and 60+Toxicology (You can get this from Miao Caidie).

Unlock the Jiuli Tribe and Melody House Locations one of two ways.

Meet Miao Caidie and/or Gu Qingcheng in Lin’an and learn about it.
Help neither side at the Abandoned Courtyard.

Go to the Jiuli Tribe and use the Fight Trick. Befriend and complete Miao Caidie’s quest and do not accept the Jiuli quest to deliver the letter. Marry Miao Caidie and then go complete the Melody Questline.

Caidie’s Test Poison

Miao Caidie offers an increase in stats at the cost of another. You can do it up to 100 Toxicology (Avoid meeting her at Lin’an to get all 10 attempts).

You get this option when you meet her in the Jiuli Tribe:

+2 Str, -1 Con
+2 Int, -1 Dex
+2 Dex, -1 Str
+2 Con, – 1 Luck
+2 Luck, -1 Int

You need a minimum of 5 in the stat you are going to lose to pick that option.

Fight Trick

You enter Manual Battle Mode using the battle button outside the enemy’s vision. You then run past them and find a place to retreat behind them.

Use the Eye Icon next to the speed button to see the boundaries of battle. You can retreat if all party members are outside the boundaries. All party members will need to retreat.

Why can’t I join x sect

You cannot join a sect if you already joined one. Becoming the Old Man’s Disciple counts as joining his sect. You are free to join a Faction but you will not be able to join another faction.

How to unlock x trait

Look at the Achievements. All unlockable traits will be on a achievement and most will tell you how to unlock them.

Leveling Up

Fight stuff and use your +EXP Archives
Use your Jianghu Knowledge. Certain Traits like the one from 10 Int, and Top Achiever reduce

Training Methods of your Sect and/Factions:

Notable Sects/Factions
Taoist Sect – Zhenwu Sword Formation – Has a named NPC for easy Combat stat griding
Langya Sword Pavilion – Dugu Group Spar – Has a named NPC and is 2 fights.
Ye Family Battalion – This is proabably the best spot for most poeple. Large fights and largest amount of EXP

Spar/Duel with Sect Leaders:

Fighting Random Encounters. These are level scaling. Avoid the Skulls unless you have a decent build, they can easily be lethal. Lao Motou /Chu Kangsheng during the Ice Prison Quest.

Talk to him at 100 Relation, he will offer 3 flashback fights where you control him. These give a huge chunk of EXP
Spar with him. You can cheese him by Bleeding him and hiding in a corner. He cannot move so you can wait for him to bleed out. You can also Seal and Delay him forever with a full party. Bleed is Safer but Slower
Easiest/Fastest way to get from level 50-100. Avoiding fighting him normally until level 100 since he can inflict Instant Death to enemies level 85 and below.

Maiden House Riddle

Find 4 Items hidden around the city:

Under the Zither in the Maiden House
Trade with the Wounded Monk (Shi Chen) at the Ruined Shrine Area. If you get him arrested, you will need to free him then find him back at the Ruined Shrine
Government Building Back Room on the Table. You will need to take it. Raise your Relation with the Prefect to 100 if you do not want to Steal
Artifact Shop (Exquisite Pavilion) in the Middle Right Shelf. You will need to take it, Raise your Relation with the Owner to 100 if you do not want to Steal.

5 Goddess Orbs and the Goddess Shrine

All the Orbs are in the Lin’an Region and by the Goddess Shrine in the Southwest Region:

Red Orb: Princess Fu Qing’s Room. You can walk in whenever
Blue Orb: Maiden House 2nd Floor. You need to complete the Maiden House Riddle and go back up afterwards
Green Orb: Plant Sect, on the table
Orange Orb: Snowflower Valley’s Center Island, hidden in a chest behind the Pagoda/Shed. You can unlock the area by paying 10k Coins to the Rumor guy at the Lin’an City’s Inn.
Yellow Orb: Southwest Region’s Abandoned Courtyard. You need to side with the Melody House to talk to the Old Woman. You can also Kill her for it (and get a 2nd one).

In the building in the Abandoned Courtyard you will find the Shrine to place all 5 Orbs. You will get: Maiden Sword (Epic Sword Manual), Mind Clearing Maiden Paml (Epic Fist Manual), Wide Sleeve Flowing Fairy Skirt (Legendary Armor) Recipe.

How to get the Imperial Seal

Learn about the Imperial Seal from:

Getting kidnapped by the Sea Dragon Gang. From the Nameless Village visit Cross Hill and take the middle/top exit. Agree with the merchant and lose the first fight. You will learn about the Imperial Seal.
Pick up the Seal of the State in the Jiuli tribe. Fight against Sakura and keep the Seal.

Get all 3 Seals:

Seal of the Sky: Yan Palace Camp, on the Desk.
Seal of the People: Tower of Enlightenment Top floor’s Chest,
Seal of the State: Back of the Jiuli Tribe behind the statue.

Get Craft Tool Level 5 and craft the Imperial Seal at a Tool Bench (There is one in every Grocery Store, in the Nameless Village Inn’s 2nd Floor, and in your Homestead.

What are the Heaven Spirits Cards and Earth Fiend Cards?

These can be gotten by Exterminating a Sect/Group or making them Surrender/Submit.

Heaven Spirit Cards are from Large Sects (Langya, Taoist, Shifa, Confucius, Crime Investigation Bureau, Jiujiang Fortress, 9 Factions Sect).

Earth Fiend Cards are from the rest (Swallows Nest, Tomb Raider Sect, Horse Bandit Camp, Sea Dragon Camp, etc).

What are they used for?

They are used as currency to buy Stat Pills and True Animal Ring Accessories from the the Secret Area unlocked with the 12 Animal Rings in the Nameless Region.

How to get Married / Fate / Bond with a character

Some characters marry through the God of Marriage Shrine and others marry through the completion of their quest line.

To unlock the God of Marriage Shrine, you need to visit the White Cloud Temple in Chuxiang City. You need to head there with your female party member as the only other person in your party and during the Daytime. You will learn about the Shrine and get a Wedding Stone. You may need to complete the Serious Taoist Quest or the Old Lady’s quest if one of them is active and you do not get the event in the Temple.

To marry a character you will need to go the God of Marriage Shrine with only the Female party member in your party, and have them at 100 Relation. Then you can spend 1 Wedding Stone to start a special fight specific to the girl you are marrying. If you lose, you get a 2nd chance but with a slot machine style mini-game.

How to level up beast taming

Tips and tricks to level up beast taming so if you go to the backmount in the homestead and sleep like 24 sichen at the table (two days) your current pet will not get hungry, your other pets that you left in the homestead will get hungry and be 0/100 full, so get out of back mount into homestead menu, switch pet, feed it, repeat for all the pets you have and then start over.

XP grind optimization for beast taming you can also enter homestead in front of an npc selling materials you need for any crafting skill and fully exit homestead when switching pet to buy stuff.

Anyway I was farming fishing xp at the same time and with the following pets cat wolf red pig chicken(my burner pet that never gets hungry) white gorilla black gorilla I was averaging 500-600 beast taming xp per cycle depending on how many purple fish I was getting.

It’s not the most fun and/or engaging way to do it but it’s a way and relatively fast.

How to cheese Jiuli & Yoink Caidie

There is two methods.

When you meet Caidie in Lin’an, raise her opinion to 100. Then later go to Jiuli Tribe and instead of walking in, initiate battle(the button; battle). Kill the two frontguards without alerting the other guards.
Still best to raise Caidie’s opinion to 100. But this time(Still got to press the battle button), instead of killing just rush past them and head down to their main house and ‘retreat’ into it when you can.

Tip: Try not to bring your pet with you or just ‘stop’ it at the entrance. If you decide to retreat, send your companions back out through the way you came into the Jiuli Tribe’s map. There they can retreat. Your MC have to retreat at their main house. Just head straight ahead.
