Leaving the Old Man’s Sect

Options to leave the Old Man’s Sect:

Follow his quest ’till you return to the Nameless Village, talk to him and break his poor, frail, old man heart.
Follow his quest until he joins your party and feed him instand-death mushrooms.
Follow his quest until you have to save someone and fail to save him.

Do you want to leave the sect? If it’s your first time, honestly no.

The Old Man’s sect is basically as good as any two/three other sects combined, and you REALLY want the legendary rewards in your homestead for your future playthroughs.

By the time you have collected all the good stuff you’re only going to be able to use option three, but by that point you might as well go for the Old Man specific ending (That’s an achievement too, so you want to do it at least once) and start again to reap the benefits of this playthrough.
