Lies of P – How to Beat Fallen Archbishop Andreus Boss

Tips to Beat Fallen Archbishop Andreus Boss

In Short

  • Go behind his back and you’re fighting 1st phase again is the best advice I can give you.
  • When in doubt, abuse throwables.
  • If you have trouble perfect guarding some attacks, you should use initial Greatsword handle since it has Fable art that will perfect guard next attack within 2 seconds. It is a great Fable art only costing single Fable slot.
  • As it was pointed by Fracture, try to circle around the boss in phase 2 to move away from his head. This often forces the boss to switch to his phase 1 version.
  • Save special grinder for phase 2.

In Details

  • Andreus is one of the bosses that allows you to play a classic Souls way, which is dodging only. Don’t bother trying to perfect guard him, just learn the timings for the dodge since some of his attacks have quite a delay on them.
  • His Fury attacks are decently telegraphed and are easy to run away from.
  • During phase 2, focus on the big guy, meaning you’ll fight phase 1 again, just with some small differences here and there.
  • For his laser attack, run in to stand below and slightly in front of him. As soon as the laser fires off, run away to avoid the AoE slam.
  • As for the weapon, I don’t think it matters that much, but I personally have beaten him with a Seven-Coil Spring Sword +2. The moveset on it is pretty good, especially dodge-into-light attack, which is a poke with a decent range.
  • Didn’t use any consumables or even a Legion Arm because I’m a stubborn b**ch and wanted to defeat him the old-fashioned way.
