Alliance Wars Beginner Guide
War Map Icons
Crosshair π―
Attack a tile marked with a crosshair only when an in game order is given. Check the pinned message for the current order.
White Flag π³οΈ
Never attack a tile marked with a white flag unless a special or personal order specifically tells you to do so. Special or personal orders have higher priority.
You can click the flag to view information about what it means.

Clash Timers
Each war day consists of three clashes:
| Clash | Start | End |
|---|---|---|
| 1/3 | 19:00 UTC | 00:50 UTC |
| 2/3 | 01:00 UTC | 12:50 UTC |
| 3/3 | 13:00 UTC | 18:50 UTC |
Troops
Troops can be powered up in three ways:
- Leveling up troops: Permanent.
- Assigning merc pilots: Permanent. The percentage bonus scales with the mercenaryβs reboot level.
- Using Super Diesel: Temporary.
Troop Upgrade Priorities
Use War Bonds for troop upgrades whenever possible. This should be enough to progress naturally, and many T2 alliances have an upper limit for troops. There is no need to buy additional troops from the Heli Race Shop.
Upgrade permanent troops only. Do not upgrade red troops unless an officer specifically tells you to.
Perform troop upgrades only at the start of the war week. This can provide a matchmaking advantage.
Remove troop mercenary drivers before the next war week starts. This can also provide a matchmaking advantage.
Deploying Troops and Rewards
Deploying troops provides rewards based on how much you contributed and your alliance position. Rewards can include:
- War Bonds
- Troops
- Androids
- Apex
Rewards are provided at:
- Each daily 3/3
- Weekly rewards
- Season rewards
Check the in game leaderboards.
Deployed troops become available again after each daily 3/3.
War Echo Event
The War Echo event occurs once a month and does not have an announcement.
Check Alliance > Deals.
The War Spoils roulette has a 1% chance of offering troop slots. At the moment, these slots are only for red troops, not regular troops.
Troop Upgrade Efficiency
Two upgrade approaches are listed:
Option 1
- 2 common troops
- 3 rare troops
- 4 epic troops
- 5 legendary troops
Use this progression until level 1000. After level 1000, use approximately 50 level rarity difference intervals.
Option 2
Use 100 level rarity difference intervals.
Diesel
Refer to the diesel table and diesel calculator for exact values.
For sniping during the final 10 to 20 seconds of a clash, or when deploying troops under pressure, it can be useful to know how many diesel clicks are required.
Always click only the top button when using these combinations.
Common Diesel Combinations
| Diesel Amount | Button Combination |
|---|---|
| 350 | 1x top button + 1x bottom button |
| 1,000 | 2x top button |
| 2,300 | 2x top button + 1x middle button |
| 3,000 (3,150) | 3x top button |
| 5,000 (5,700) | 4x top button |
| 8,000 (8,250) | 5x top button |
| 11,000 | 6x top button |
Deploy all of your troops to one tile at once. Due to how diesel works, deploying troops across multiple tiles is very inefficient.
Your current diesel storage amount can only be seen in the attack window.
If needed, more diesel can be added even after the troops have been deployed.
After investing diesel, check the alliance pass. It provides free rewards, and these rewards are not automatically collected when the pass expires.
Riots
The number of riots depends on the number of occupied tiles on the war map.
For T2 maps, riot troop strength averages between 15M and 30M.
A tile with a riot can trigger at any time during the current clash. There is also a very low chance that a riot will not trigger at all.
Riot Strategy
For optimal troop investment, consider a situation with 7 tiles in 3/3:
- During 1/3, allow the 3 to 4 riot tiles to go.
- This should leave you with 0 to 1 additional riots during 2/3 and 3/3.
- Keep tiles such that all other tiles remain accessible. Ensure this is achieved by 2/3 at the latest.
- Keep as many troops as possible available for 2/3 and 3/3 so they can be used to counter enemy attacks.
- During 3/3, when the daily rewards are given, capture all tiles again.
