How to Make Money

If you really want to make some money and don’t mind some grinding, try this:

One of the best-paid jobs is hauling containers. There are a few things to keep in mind in order to maximize profits:

  1. You’ll need a tractor rig (preferrably the bigger one) and a flat trailer. When getting the truck, DO NOT pick one up at one of the warehouses, as you’ll pay a ridiculous percentage of your income to the owner – rent one from the truck dealer in the northeast instead, it’ll cost you much less.
  2. You want to minimize time spent driving the empty trailer around, as it yields no income. There are currently two spots on the map where you can load containers: The harbor in the north and Overseas Imports in the southwest. Choose jobs that make you go back and forth between these two spots, making sure that every drive you do yields profit.
  3. As others have pointed out, the routes your GPS suggests are sometimes disadvantageous when hauling heavy loads, as they lead you up and down the mountains, slowing you down immensely. Stick to the ring road.

Note: Sometimes jobs going back and forth between the two exact spots may not be available, but you can still choose jobs that will lead you into the general area, minimizing time spent driving the empty trailer around.

Vehicle Tips

  1. Trucks

If you are about to use any truck (anything besides the pickup) you should rent it from the truck dealer at the toy factory and not use the “free” trucks from the delivery stations.

As an example, using the small semi truck from any delivery zone takes 50% from your delivery earning. Howling a 3000$ container 3.5 km will only credit you 1500$ the rest goes to the vehicle owner. Renting the truck costs you only 380$ every 10 minutes which should be enough time to do the mission but earns you the full 3000$. Fuel will still be payed by the vehicle owner.

To stop the renting just leave the truck.

  1. Buses

You can use the buses at the bus stations for free to howl people. The whole earned money stays with you while the fuel is payed by the owner.
