Iga Clan Walkthrough
- Province: Yamato

War and Diplomacy
You can declare war on the Iga Clan for 15 Neg any time after Inukai has been informed about Suzume’s defection.
The relevant event is often an end of turn event and can only trigger after Suzume has joined Oda. The earliest Suzume can join is at the start of turn 7, so the earliest you can declare war on Iga is turn 8.

Iga will not declare war on you unless all of the following conditions are met:
- You are not currently at war with anyone.
- It is after turn 29.
- The end of turn event where Inukai learns that Nobunaga is not sick has occurred.
Once these conditions are satisfied, Iga will usually declare war very quickly. This can happen at the end of the same turn in which your previous war ended.
The conditions for Tenshiism to declare war will usually be satisfied before the conditions for the Iga Clan to declare war. As a result, Tenshiism often needs to be conquered or vassaled before Iga can declare war.
Iga Start of Turn Event After Turn 55
If Iga is neither conquered nor vassaled and there are no higher priority start of turn events, then on every turn after turn 55 the game will attempt to trigger a low priority start of turn event.
This event has no content and therefore appears to the player as though no start of turn event occurred. However, the event is not coded to mark itself as completed, so the game will continue attempting to trigger it every turn. This blocks lower priority start of turn events.
To prevent this, either:
- Conquer Iga.
- Vassal Iga.
- Arrange for another Clan to conquer Iga, such as Xavier.
This invisible event takes priority over the events that reduce the difficulty of finding the Tange Dog and the event that unlocks the option to H Komatsu when she is in prison.
If this event triggers, you will lose access to affected start of turn events without receiving any indication of why they are not appearing.
Events During the War
If more than one end of turn phase has passed since the war between Iga and Oda began, and the Oda Clan controls at least one territory in Yamato, the event Get information on Iga from Suzume becomes available if all of the following conditions are still true:
- You are still at war with Iga.
- Inukai is still the leader of Iga.
Afterwards, if you are still at war with Iga and Inukai remains their leader, the purple event Dirty plan (What's Inukai's is mine) becomes available.
This event gives you 2000 gold. Despite what the event implies, it does not weaken Iga’s army.
Conquering Iga Before Entering a Route
If you have not yet entered a route and conquer Iga without fielding Suzume in the battle for their final territory, Inukai will lead a revolt approximately 11 to 13 turns after the conquest and take Yamato back from you.
This revolt can occur only once per game.
If Suzume is fielded in the battle for Iga’s final territory, conquering Iga gives you 5 SAT.
Second Games: Duel With Inukai
In Second Games, regardless of how the war with Iga started or restarted, a 35 Search Points event in Yamato will appear approximately 3 turns after the war begins if both of the following conditions are met:
- You have 3 spare National Power.
- You have a free commander slot.
The event has Rance duel with Inukai and his three dogs.
| Enemy | Level | HP |
|---|---|---|
| Inukai | 42 | 260 |
| Three dogs | 5 | 100 each |
Rance is recommended to be level 51 or higher for this fight. With favorable luck or some of the factors below, he can win at a lower level.
Inukai is positioned in the back row and is protected by his three dogs, so Rance needs at least 4 moves to win the fight.
Rance Attack can allow Rance to win at a lower level, but the main problem is usually having enough HP to survive the fight.
Rance’s Speed contributes to the turn order. Increasing Speed improves the chance of winning, particularly if you pay attention to the order in which Inukai’s dogs attack.
Losing the duel causes an instant Game Over.
Winning the duel takes over Iga and recruits Inukai. The game does not count this as a normal conquest, so you can still invade other provinces during the same turn.
Second Games: Punish Inukai!
Alternatively, in Second Games, if you have Gekkou, you can perform the colorless event Punish Inukai! in Owari.
This event:
- Conquers all of Iga’s provinces.
- Does not count as an actual conquest.
- Removes Inukai from the game.
Iga Remnants
Iga remnants can appear in Yamato and automatically conquer it if all of the following conditions are satisfied.
- You are in the Isoroku route and have not seen the event where Rance is told that Keikoku has given birth, or you are in the Ran route and have not seen the event where both Keikoku and Souun are discovered to be missing.
- Either Cairo is controlled by Oda or an Oda vassal, or both Takeda and Mouri are neither at war with Oda nor in a state where their provinces appear yellow on the map.
- Iga has been conquered and Yamato is ruled by Oda.
The remnants spawn with an army of generic commanders who have +2 to all combat stats and immediately declare war on Oda.
These remnants can appear only once per playthrough. They cannot appear if the Hara remnants have already appeared during the same playthrough, and they cannot be vassaled.
Because the remnants do not include Inukai, they cannot cause Inukai to lead a revolt.
The Iga remnants are not recorded in the Game Progress Info.
Vassaling Iga
Once you are at war with Iga, you can vassal them for 18 Neg if you have either conquered or vassaled four provinces adjacent to Yamato, including Owari.
This option does not become available immediately. The game must first attempt to trigger an event for Iga.
This happens when either:
- Iga reaches the end of its turn.
- Iga loses a battle in a way that results in you winning one of the territories in one of its provinces.
Once vassaled, Iga can send reinforcements.
Goninjai
After you have conquered two territories in Yamato, the five Goninjai begin appearing in battles.
Apart from having Status Cancel II, they are no different from generic Ninjas.
Noteworthy Commanders
Inukai
Inukai can only be captured through the duel in Second Games.
For his command event to appear, you need:
- At least one free commander slot.
- 3 National Power.
The Five Goninjai
The following Goninjai can be captured through regular battles:
- Nin 14
- Nin 16
- Nin 33
- Nin 55
- Nin 68
Kashinkoji
Kashinkoji is an uncapturable generic Ninja with:
- Assassinate 2
- +2 Attack
- +2 Defense
- +2 Intelligence
- +2 Speed
This should make him the only generic Ninja in the game with an instant kill skill.
Bashou Matsuo
Bashou Matsuo is a generic-faced Ninja with 8 Speed.
He can be captured in battles, but he will not be automatically captured after taking over Yamato.
His name appears in the Game Progress Info.
Haniwa Nyorai
Haniwa Nyorai can be recruited in Yamato for 15 Negotiation Points.
He is a Sohei with:
- 7 Attack
- Effective Advertising
- Haniwa Splitter
Haniwa Splitter is a unique skill that deals 6000 damage to Hannies.
