Oda Clan Walkthrough
- Province: Owari

Basics
Visit the prison to unlock the ability to capture enemy commanders. The prison is also automatically unlocked on the turn following the automatic capture of a unit, such as when Shouji Hara is captured after conquering the Hara Clan. Breaking the first gourd also unlocks the prison.

After the first H-scene with Sill, a colorless event called Tonight at Rance's Estate appears at the bottom of the event list. Completing it gives +1 Satisfaction.
A red command in Owari allows you to hunt pork. It provides a small amount of gold, with the amount increasing slightly each time the event is replayed. After completion, the event becomes unavailable for a few turns. Pork hunting is one of the sources of the Six Great Treasures.
Starting on Turn 63, and every four turns afterward, the purple event The Traveling Amusement Park is Here appears in Owari. You can attend with 3G, Suzume, Sill if she is available, Shouen Baba, and the heroine for the current route. On the Official History route, the heroine is Kouhime. Each visit adds +3 to the final score.
The Traveling Amusement Park is Here is a Turn Restricted Event, so certain other events can temporarily prevent it from appearing. Most of these are character clear steps.
The event is also temporarily disabled during several key storyline events:
- While looking for Hirami Lemons
- While Miki or Kou is missing
- While the Hanny are planning their trip to Kyo
If Owari is conquered, the game ends in a Game Over.
Noteworthy Commanders
Rance
Rance starts with a very small troop count, average movement, and reasonable attack. His Auto-Heal (Sill) skill activates at the end of his turn event when he uses a wait command.
Although Rance begins as an average Samurai commander, he has considerable potential. He can:
- Learn his unique commander charge,
Rance Attack - Improve Sill’s healing skill
- Gain +1 to all combat stats
- Gain +2 movement from a Satisfaction Bonus
Rance also has an exceptionally high level cap of 99.
If Rance’s unit is annihilated during an army battle, the game ends in a Game Over.
Ranmaru
An average Samurai commander and Oda’s strongest early-game commander.
Katsuie Shibata
An above-average Ashigaru commander. His main advantage is that he is available from the beginning of the game.
Nagahide Niwa
A relatively poor Archer commander who is available from the beginning. He has the Fleeing Warrior Hunt skill and a large troop size. His name is also displayed in the game progress information.
Gracia
Gracia replaces Mitsuhide Akechi after using a Satisfaction Bonus on him twice. Both names, before and after the upgrade, are displayed in the game progress information.
Gracia has no event that moves her relationship from Trust to Love, making her impossible to clear. However, she can still receive the relationship bonus. This can cause a harmless graphical glitch.
Keiji Maeda
Keiji Maeda replaces Toshiie Maeda after using a Satisfaction Bonus on him twice. Both names, before and after the upgrade, are displayed in the game progress information.
Recruitable Commanders
The following commanders can be recruited from the map after completing the first Dango Princess: Kouhime event. This is the event in which Kouhime tells Rance how much she loves Owari.
The event requires Kouhime, but it is automatically marked as completed when the first gourd is broken.
Lord Hachisuka
A semi-generic Ashigaru commander notable for his high Constitution (Const) stat.
Recruitment requirement: 6 Neg.
Kazumasu Takigawa
A semi-generic Ninja commander notable for his high Search stat.
Recruitment requirement: 6 Neg.
Fuuka Tamagushi
A Miko commander required to unlock the Orochi dungeon.
Recruitment requirement: 4 Neg.
Fuuka becomes unrecruitable as soon as the event in which the third gourd is broken has been seen.
Unlike Lord Hachisuka and Kazumasu Takigawa, Fuuka is a fully unique unit with multiple events and can provide Satisfaction (SAT).
Student Commander
The Force a Student Commander to Enlist event allows you to choose one generic Ashigaru, Archer, or Samurai commander.
The resulting commander has the following characteristics:
- Always female
- Starts with 50 troops
- Combat stats are typically below 3
- May have one non-combat stat as high as 7
- May spawn with a fifth skill
- Typically has 2 to 4 movement
- Appears to always have the lowest level of skills available to her unit type
The event only appears when:
- You have fewer than 11 commanders
- You have at least 1 free NP
Suzume
Suzume is a Ninja who nominally begins with Iga.
She first appears and provides +5 SAT under the following conditions:
- Turn 5: If Ashikaga has been vassalized
- Turn 6: If Ashikaga has not been vassalized
Her joining turn depends on when she first appears:
- If you first see her on Turn 5, she joins at the start of Turn 6.
- If you first see her on Turn 6, she joins on Turn 8 if you have not started any wars yet.
- If you first see her on Turn 6, she joins on Turn 7 if you have already started a war.
Copa Mercenaries
Copa Mercenaries is a female Ashigaru with no particularly notable stats.
Her main distinguishing features are her guaranteed troop count of 1,200 and the fact that she appears to be impossible to clear. She has no event for moving her relationship from Trust to Love, but she still receives the relationship bonus.
To recruit her, the following conditions must be met during the event in which you receive Operation Permits:
- You have fewer than 28 commanders in your roster.
- You have no Ashigaru with 1,000 or more total troops.
If these conditions are met, Copa Mercenaries joins automatically. Recruitment is not optional and occurs even if you do not have enough NP.
Sill
Sill is not technically a commander and does not appear on the commander list. However, she participates in commander battles as a Mage when the first back-row character retreats. Sill cannot retreat herself.
She also appears alongside Rance in many boss battles.
Sill’s level is always exactly 3 levels below Rance’s, potentially making her one of the strongest dungeon commanders in the game.
In addition to her Fire Blast, Sill has a unique healing ability that restores one of Rance’s movement points. The ability only heals when used on other commanders, making Sill highly versatile.
Sill is also responsible for Rance’s Auto-Heal skill during troop battles. The skill restores 30 troops per action at the start. Several events can improve this ability.
After Sill goes missing, Rance loses the Auto-Heal skill. Its skill slot then becomes available, allowing Rance to take the Ending Points skill.
