Shapez 2 – 1×2 Plurality Belt Sorter Blueprint

1×2 Plurality Belt Sorter [12×12 in=>12×12 out] for 2 Identical Lanes

By Loup&Snoop.

This machine takes in 2 full spacebelts of material where at least 2 lanes contain identical content. It then figures out which lanes correspond to the plurality shape, and sends that into a pure spacebelt, filled with just that material. The other output belt is a semi-sorted belt of the remaining material.

Usage Notes:

  • Does work with empty lanes.
  • Does not jam (anymore!)
  • If the input is 4 belts of 2 and 2 (where there is no plurality, it is a tie), then output 2 pure space belts, where which one is in “plurality output” corresponds to a given input lane.
  • It can take less than 2 full belts, but the machine reads the material coming in on the first floor of one of the ports. That port must be filled.
  • Does not sort sushi. This sorts a mixture of pure belts.
  • Use case: When you have an omni miner on a node that has 2 of the same shape in a quadrant (so it outputs 2 of the same full shape as output). This machine takes that raw material and automatically sorts it into full saturated space belts.
  • The label for “Plural Out” indicates the port where you expect the plurality shape to be output. Across from “Plural out” is the input port where the first floor MUST be used.

Example with just slapping down blueprints.

In this example, the mining node has 2 Ru quadrants. The belt sorter automatically figured out which lanes are correct, takes in 2 full belts of that material, and gives me one full clean spacebelt of squares. And one half spacebelt of stars.

Another example: Mining {CrSrCrCu}.

This setup (one of the plurality sorters here is mirrored) outputs 4 full and pure space belts automatically. 2 of {CrCrCrCr}, one of {CuCuCuCu}, and one of {SrSrSrSr}.

I hope this was helpful to you!
