Companions
Over 20 Companions are available in Starfield, and you may hire them to help you on your intergalactic explorations. Due to a range of Skills each companion can have, much like in other Bethesda games like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, Companions can be hired to go with you to new locales and offer support in and out of battle.
Starfield enables you to manage your Crew Roster so that you may assign them to responsibilities and activities on your ship to increase its capabilities or on Outposts you establish on a planet to enhance the flow of resources. Each Companion has a predetermined set of ranking Skills that they bring with them, many of which stack with your own Skills to help you enhance your ship or fight more effectively when you’re on foot scouting new territory.
