Stormworks: Build and Rescue – How to Build a Functioning Rocket Engine

Functioning Rocket Engine

All credit goes to Random Runaway Fish !

In a nutshell, a rocket engine is pretty basic. It needs a toggle button for ignition, a throttle value, a oxygen tank and a hydrogen tank.

But, in order to get all of the fuel to be used or oxygen to be used on an engine, it will need a gas relief valve.

The gas relief valve is fully automatic and will release gas if the pressure it to high. If the pressure is to high and there is no gas relief valve, the engine will refuse to use the fuel tank and/or oxygen tank.

So far of what I know, the gas relief valve plays a very crucial role on a rocket. It can be used in a cockpit/capsule to make sure the pressure inside does not reach high values, and it can make sure that rocket fuel tanks and rocket oxygen tanks for the engine do not reach high amounts of pressure.

Extra facts about the Space DLC

So far what I know of, the Space DLC can be a hell of a headache. But, it starts to get simple as you use different things.

So far, I only know the basics of the Space DLC. If you have anything that can help players learn how to use the Space DLC, please leave a comment on this guide.

I love games and I live games. Video games are my passion, my hobby and my job. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices. My first official job in the game industry started back in 2005, and I'm still doing what I love to do.

  1. My rocket engine cuts out after around 3 seconds of running. Everything is correct and the oxygen and hydrogen tanks are in the right place, can anyone help me with this?

    • Note: Relief valves release pressure is too high inside a compartment or in a tank. Usually when I didn’t know this, my rocket oxygen tanks would just release the oxygen after reaching high pressures. So relief valves are very helpful depending how much oxygen is used.

      • Extra Note: The rocket engines use huge amounts of fuel in short amounts of time. I am not sure if the devs meant to put this in the game as “Realism”, or if it is a bug. So for now, try and place lots of fuel inside your rockets so they can work for longer amounts of time.
