Sword of Convallaria – How Does Equipment Work

How Does Equipment Work in the Game?

First thing first, there is an equipment gacha. Do NOT roll on it, never ever roll it unless you are a massive whale. There are no equipment rate up banners, the equipment banner is to quickly fill your team, and there are no personalized equipment either.

Now, each unit has 3 equipment slots: weapon, armor and tarot emblem (might be translated slightly differently later).

All equipment can be leveled up, weapon and armor will also have star rating which can be upgraded with duplicate one-for-one (so you need 5 copies for max upgrade).

All equipment gives all stats bonus when leveled up, yes weapons will give hp and defense, while armor give atk too, but depending on the slot and the type, they give different amounts. Each slot has a special passive as well.

Weapons and armor can be engraved with engraving stones (see the green circle) and tarot emblems will have random option lines (see on the right). Yes you will be farming emblems at end game

Stating the obvious here but equipment is transferable and you should do so.

Is It Easy to Build a New Unit?

Yes, building a unit is very cheap if you diligently do your daily farm. It won’t take more than 2-3 days to get a unit up and running since you only need to give them exp for level and a few class ascensions. The expensive thing is the gears and tarot emblems, be careful when upgrading those.

Don’t hesitate to build many units, even if you don’t plan to use them later on, they can serve as sweeping units so you don’t have to manually clear farm maps.

What Does the End Game Look Like?

Well I haven’t reached that point yet. For now there’s not much content for end game besides grinding for good tarot emblem sub lines and getting dupes for weapons. But it will take a while to reach there. There is also tower mode which changes every week so you can test your mettle in it.

So What to Do at End Game?

I would highly recommend playing the spiral of fate mode, which allows you to replay the story multiple times, while making different decisions each time, resulting in different endings. Each ending will come with its own CG and cutscenes, as well as some gems to encourage you.

If you are a fan of story and world building, this is for you. Moreover it doesn’t take any stamina to play, only some story keys that you will get from daily/weekly content in the main game mode.

I hope this was helpful to you!
