F2P New Player Guide
People starting the game. Choose your first character. After that, the grind begins and the grind should look start like this:
All of your “Catalysts” should go into Bunny, weapons are not needed, you’ll run hardmode dungeons later on without shooting at all with the right build.
Bunny is speed and speed means efficiency.
Sharen is a 20% grind able character and she’ll become one of your best friends when you’re not speedrunning with Bunny.
Some materials required for other characters require Sharon due to her stealth skill (Infiltration Missions).
Once you’re here, this character will be able to open certain “Encrypted Lockboxes” easier.
You can open all of these (Encrypted Lockboxes) boxes with all characters, but Enzo makes your life so much easier, and if you’re at this stage, you’ll understand eventually.
Gameplay Tips
- Hitting jump just before a melee attack does a shorter animation full damage AOE knockdown attack.
- Rolling while a reload is 80% done cancels the animation and completes the reload. Works for some skills too like Lepic’s ultimate.
- You can infiltrate outposts without Sharen if you get all the terminals and kill all the enemies until they stop respawning. (though sharen is easier, and easy to obtain.)
- The Defense stat has diminishing returns, especially after 40k. Elemental resistances are even worse and not worth using.
- MP regeneration starts about 6 seconds out of combat. And is more than tripled with a component stat. So out of mana? stop taking or dealing damage for atleast 6 seconds!
- If you use a crystallization catalyst on your melee augment slot, you only get 5 more points, not double. so it might be better used on other high cost mods!
- DPS numbers are NOT consistent or accurate! Beam rifle DPS doesnt include escalating damage charge as well! (some test videos are on youtube as proof!) (Raw DPS also doesnt factor in bonus damage, and how easy it is to land your shots given the accuracy of your weapons. Or damage falloff of each gun.)
- Damage falloff is important for DPS! Each weapon type has an optimal range before it does diminishing damage!
- Battle pass EXP is not limited to Challenges! completing infiltration missions and doing relics also rewards small amounts of battle pass EXP.
- Grappling onto an enemy can temporarily stun it while attached! You can also hit melee midair to knock them away. Grappling onto the ground even briefly can also cancel out of reload animations as an alternative to rolling!
- When breaking down duplicate mods at the NPC, deselect your yellow and reds first! They’re more valuable for combining! Combining yellows can turn into Reds! saving you hours of grind!
Strategies for Hard Bosses
Executioner
Just pump him with Damage lmao.
Dead Bride
Destroy Her shield and melt her health.
Devourer
He has a mechanic that makes him heal his self destroy green canisters to stop immunity phase.
Swamp Walker
You have to shoot canisters on his legs to break his immunity phase.
Obstructer
He has a wipe phase u have to shoot floating Purple balls in the air that comes from portals if too many gets to him he will wipe.
Frost Walker
He has a Wipe phase as well you will need a dedicated runner in this boss fight, after destroying his destructible parts he will drop embers on the ground the runner will pick them up you will need 6 to get a buff and with that buff u will have a fire circle around you and can unfreeze your frozen teammates, one more thing is the runner should not be near the boss if you are he will take your embers away.
Molten Fortress
He is the most unique boss in the game, he has a phase that u have to connect poles to line up the electricity to form a pentagon. that will take him out of his immunity phase.
