Thronefall – How to Beat the Second Level

I beat the second level on my second try and the third on my first so it’s doable.

Perks:

• Increased tower range and damage, gold from castle.

Weapon:

• Spear

Mutators:

• None

Final Units:

• Spearmen (lvl3)
• Crossbowmen (lvl3)
• Knights (lvl3)
• Archers (lvl3)

All walls upgraded and all towers at least lvl 2 with some lvl 3 as balsitas around the castle.

Below some general tips and stategies for level 2.

Proritize building mines then farms then houses, with spear you can probably kill 2 first waves without building a tower or barracks just kiting and using the heal special abbility.

At third wave build spearmen on later wave crossbowmen. Try not tu use hold postiion for other units than regular archers as they will just sit there and get slaughtered unless you are using them just to slow some units down in a choke point.

Try to always have Farms build in the opposite side the new attacks are coming from.

The two first waves from the north are all archers so with one tower for the first one and two for the second that side is completley safe and there are 3 possible mills there.

The castle upgrade that upgrades a house each day is great, just remember to have at least one un-upgraded house each night.

As this level is so large and requires you to ride around the whole map would suggest not taking the commander upgrade.

Be wary of bombs but first time they appear you can probably solo them if you have one or two towwers on the ridge.

When you see that rushers will spawn (the guys that ignore your units and just rush the castle) you have to build a wall, you might thing you have enought towers or units but trust me you don’t.

There is not many air units on level 2 but still i would recomend to take one regular archers unit for their range.

As defences go Barracks>Towers>Walls. Having an army that you can set up depending on what units come from what direction is paramount.

Don’t be afraid to split your army sometimes a single squad or even half of it can hold one side of the map while you kite annother approch and leave the third path to your army.

The waves are static so you can plan ahead.

More tower is better than better towers.

Remember to go around the map after each castle upgrade as new building spots pop up in unexpected places.
