How to Make Perfect Path Circles
By Phlegm.
At any scale! These can be used for guides for placing circular walls, or just for decoration. Also works for water and flowers! You can do this in a few simple steps, but first you’ll want keys bound to Move Up and Rotate.
- Find a mid-point for your circle. In this case, for a very large circle, I drew very long lines from corner-to-corner by lining up my camera with the corner, placing a path, and holding a direction key to drag the path out… takes a few attempts.
- Make sure your camera is pointing straight down at the ground.
- Centre the midpoint in your screen. This is easiest to do by eye if you zoom in to it.
- Press your Move Up key to raise the camera. As opposed to Zoom Out, this will raise your camera directly vertically, rather than away from wherever your cursor is. You can zoom out, but it can be tough to keep centred. Move Up is foolproof.
- Pick a point on the end of your circle, start placing your path, and rotate!
