Legion Boss Guide
Ву LogitechKB.
Uptil now, following LB’s have been found to be standing and brooding around in the world map. Barely any idea what goes inside the head of this insidious brute, but I digress. Point is to defeat it. Here will be posted some things that the game has taught me for each boss along with inputs from those up in the High Tower of Power, High in the Sky… you know who those are.

Here, this is how we identify a lurking LB out in the wild. There are 8 levels of LB as of now. Each Level is the same but different.
Before you start thinking about LB this and LB that and what not, lets see what do you get from LB’s, what are the rewards you get, other than bragging rights in the guild and not helping other and being all high and mighty and haughty until the real Haughty one comes in….
We all know who those are in our guilds, and even you know who you are… By the way, you can learn more about guild activities from the article about Guild Arms Race, it’s a GvG event that lasts for days!

Key Takeaway: If you want to farm meat, then you should do LB6 & 7, since that provides more meat than timber and stone.
Understanding Legion Boss
Legion Boss or any other PvE or even PvP for that matter, goes for the front line first, then middle and lastly back line. LB1 and LB2 are something which are more like a tutorial version for a player, stepping stone, to be able to move to higher difficulties in game, to understand the game mechanics when faced against an enemy of overwhelming power.
LB will be difficult to solo, if you are just relying on purple heroes. You do need legendary/gold heroes to solo it. In a pinch 5 legendary and 1 epic/purple will do, but that’s it. This is assuming that a new player is playing and not a smurf or some1 trying to show off with 5 white/platinum star fully maxed skills purple heroes.
Usual Setup:
- Front Line – 2 Tanks
- Mid – Healer and Support
- Back – 2 Damage Dealers
Now this is different from what you get when you click the button “auto deploy” when forming a team. The game usually put damage dealers in mid and support at back. Referring back to the top of this page, first to be sacrificed are front line then mid and lastly back line. If you have damage dealers in mid, they will be taken out soon, and then what’s the point of having healers, support in back but without anybody to support to. Support is inherently weak in attacking.
So if midline damage dealers fall, it’s over anyways. So we switch, we put damage dealers on the back line, to give them a few more seconds to survive, a few more seconds to attack, and maybe those few seconds might be just what is needed for the ult. And in case you have support/healers who have Area of effect based skills, them being in mid, the area can now cover even the front line tanks, giving them a second or two more of survivability, meaning that that’s 2 seconds more added to back lines life, more chance to attack and/or trigger an ult.
Keeping that in mind and beginner heroes that are usually available from tavern or events, here is setup for LB1 and 2
- Front – Tree guy/Groot and SecretKeeper (Knight for purples)
- Mid – Shaman and Owl (Minister, Dancer for purples)
- Back – Pyro and WindWalker (Archer, Ranger for purples)
Preferred Queue power – 1-1.5M for LB1. 2-2.5M for LB2. These values are for if you want to clear LB1/2 on your own, with the rest of the guild mates doing 0. Again these are preferred values, and it can and will vary based on soldiers, research, runes, relics, decor.
Preferred Stars – at least 5 Gold stars on each would be nice to have. Try to have more Red stars on Pyro as soon as possible. Groot and SwordKeeper can benefit up to 2 Red stars, more than that would not be advised, unless you are lacking other heroes totally.
Gear – For LB1, you should be able to get it with +10 Purple gear. For LB2, at least +20 purple and maybe some +10 gold gear might need to be introduced depending on various other factors related to your power
Note: Do not equip heroes without gear bonus (for LB or any other PvP or PvE or just in general).
Upgrading gears and equipping them of the same level gives you a gear level bonus, which gives you additional health and attack values. Which you get for free or a benefit of investment in gears. It would not be a good decision to lose such a bonus.
So do try to have gear at a minimum of +10 on each hero. The bonus that you will get will be based on the minimum level of gear to which bonus is applicable. If you have a mix of purple and gold gear, you will get a Purple level bonus. You will only get Gold level bonus if you have all gold gear.
- Eg. 1 – +10 sword, +10 boots, +10 helmet, +0 chestplate – No bonus!
- Eg. 2 – +10 sword, +10 boots, +10 helmet, +9 chestplate – No bonus!
- Eg. 3 – +19 sword, +10 boots, +10 helmet, +0 chestplate – No bonus!
- Eg. 4 – +10 gold sword, +10 gold boots, +10 gold helmet, +10 purple chestplate – Bonus of level 10 purple gears.
- Eg. 5 – +20 gold sword, +10 gold boots, +10 gold helmet, +10 purple chestplate – Bonus of level 10 purple gears.
- Eg. 6 – +20 gold sword, +10 gold boots, +10 gold helmet, +10 gold chestplate – Bonus of level 10 gold gears.
- Eg. 7 – +20 gold sword, +20 gold boots, +20 gold helmet, +20 gold chestplate – Bonus of level 20 gold gears.

As can be seen from above, you will only get the minimum bonus, with 0 being the lowest level and bonus value both. Next bonus comes at all gears +10, then +20, then +30 and +40 (for legendary/gold).
We are not talking about mythic weapons and weapon upgradation over here. No beginner player would have that, unless they are a whale, and if they are a whale, then they do not have to bother about such things and even reading this document would be a waste of time for them.
For LB3, LB4, assuming that you have started to get more heroes from tavern or dice or wheels, something like Pixie, Barbarian, Lion Sword guy, Bard, Astrologer, Nun, Adjudicator, then things will start becoming easier to an extent for you. Same gear rules apply. These heroes will perform well if invested wisely and nicely, and their bonds (if applicable) if used wisely. Purple heroes will do nothing at LB3 and above. They are better relegated to Q2 or Q3 or Q4 and always sent to mines to get you more rubies all the time.
