Warframe – The Ultimate Narin Guide (2026)

Narin Build Guide with Tips (2026)

Narin is built around Cold Status Effects. Her abilities, passive, and several recommended builds benefit from applying and consuming Cold procs, while Nurinarim provides a dedicated melee-focused playstyle.

Passive

Each stack of the Cold Status Effect on enemies increases the chance to spawn Sangodae, a Cold-Infused Pickup. Picking up Sangodae grants Narin +50% Cold Damage on her Primary, Secondary, and Abilities.

The passive gains:

  • +1% chance per Cold proc.
  • The Cold Damage bonus is locked at +50% and does not scale with Ability Strength.

Sangodae allows Narin’s weapons to apply Cold without specifically modding them for Cold.

Following similar abilities, this bonus should scale with Cold mods, including Cold Damage combined into Secondary Elements such as Viral or Magnetic. However, this would also cause the ability not to apply to Incarnons or Archguns.

Neote

Narin lunges forward while unleashing a barrage of spectral swords that deal Cold and Puncture Damage.

Affected enemies receive capped Status Effects from both Elements:

  • 10 Cold Status Effects
  • 5 Puncture Status Effects

Naraemagi

Narin siphons all nearby Cold Status Effects applied to enemies, recovering her Shields while converting excess into Overguard.

This ability does not create Overshields.

Both the amount of Shields and Overguard gained per Cold proc and the maximum Overguard limit scale with Ability Strength.

Naraemagi accepts Cold procs from any source, including:

  • Weapons
  • Abilities
  • Companions

Although removing Cold procs may seem counterintuitive, it can help Narin maintain related Arcanes such as Arcane Ice Storm and Primary Frostbite. Reaching the Cold Status Effect cap prevents additional stacks from being applied.

This interaction is worse for Secondary Shiver, although the mod is rarely, if ever, used and is generally not an optimal choice.

Hakchum

Narin rises into the air on spectral wings, gaining temporary free flight for up to 3 seconds before crashing into the ground.

Upon landing, Narin creates a Blizzard that:

  • Deals Cold Damage every second.
  • Guarantees a Cold Status Effect.
  • Applies Cold Damage Vulnerability.

Hakchum’s Damage Vulnerability scales with Ability Strength and has a base value of +150%.

While airborne, Hakchum gives Narin omnidirectional movement. This makes it easier to find new groups of enemies and position herself for the landing.

Narin is also Invulnerable for the first few seconds of casting.

Nurinarim

Casting Narin’s other abilities fills Nurinarim’s meter, allowing her to cast it and expend its charge with each attack.

The charge rate scales with the number of enemies hit by each ability cast. This incentivizes high Ability Range and grouping.

While active, Narin performs an ice-skating sword dance that creates a small aura. The aura:

  • Deals Cold Damage.
  • Applies 2 guaranteed Cold Status Effects every second.
  • Randomly marks enemies within the aura.

Narin can attack marked enemies with her icy blade, sending out a wave of Cold Damage. Enemies targeted by Narin are also armor stripped before the damage is dealt.

The wave attack pierces and damages enemies along its path.

Narin also passively drains the Nurinarim meter every second while it is active.

While Nurinarim is active, Narin’s mobility is restricted. She cannot perform certain maneuvers, including:

  • Sliding
  • Bullet Jumping
  • Double Jumping

She also cannot cast Neote or Hakchum or use Weapons while Nurinarim is active.

Despite the ability marking enemies, Narin can also target unmarked enemies. Doing so only wastes ammunition without firing the attack.

Nurinarim deals bonus damage against Frozen enemies. Its attacks also cause explosions that deal Cold Damage in a small area around the target.

Stats

Ability Range

Ability Range increases the coverage of Narin’s abilities, improving nuking and charging Nurinarim.

Ability Strength

Ability Strength affects:

  • Hakchum’s Damage Vulnerability.
  • Nurinarim’s raw damage.
  • The Shields and Overguard generated by Naraemagi.

Ability Duration

No specific Duration scaling is provided.

Arcanes

Arcane Ice Storm

Arcane Ice Storm provides additional Ability Strength.

Companions can steal Freeze procs from Narin, and the effect does not work on some units, including Acolytes, Eximus, and Thrax. Because of this, Arcane Ice Storm is inconsistent compared with Molt Augmented.

Molt Augmented

Provides additional Ability Strength and is a more consistent alternative to Arcane Ice Storm.

Weapon Platforming Arcanes

Narin can use weapon-focused Arcanes such as:

  • Arcane Rage
  • Arcane Acceleration
  • Arcane Tempo
  • Arcane Rise
  • Arcane Precision
  • Arcane Velocity
  • Arcane Awakening
  • Arcane Avenger

Sangodae and Naraemagi make her a respectable weapon platform.

Arcane Truculence

Provides free Viral priming.

Naraemagi can trigger it easily, allowing it to support Nurinarim or any weapon.

Arcane Concentration

Provides additional Duration.

Arcane Circumvent and Arcane Aegis

Provide additional survivability.

Narin can still roll while Nurinarim is active.

Subsumes

Narin will usually choose between Neote and Nurinarim when subsuming.

Neote brings little value besides Puncture priming because both Hakchum and Nurinarim apply Cold procs.

Nurinarim can be dropped if focusing more on weapons.

Roar

Roar applies to both Weapons and Abilities.

Nourish

Nourish applies to Weapons and Nurinarim’s Cold Aura, allowing Narin to self-prime Viral.

Thermal Sunder

Thermal Sunder can be used for weapon buffing through Thermal Transfer.

Thermal Transfer can further scale Narin’s passive, Sangodae.

Speed Subsumes

Speed subsumes such as Fire Walker, Molt, and Infested Mobility apply to the skating from Nurinarim.

Grouping Subsumes

Grouping subsumes such as Ensnare and Airburst help force value from Nurinarim because its targeting is randomized.

Silence

Silence prevents enemies from nullifying Narin’s abilities.

Archon Shards

Amber Shards

Use 1 to 2 Amber Shards for:

  • Casting Speed
  • Parkour Velocity
  • Starting Maximum Energy

These provide general quality-of-life improvements.

Another option is 1 to 2 Amber Shards for Orb Efficiency.

Narin can sustain herself with Archon Flow alone when paired with good energy economy, such as Nourish or neutral/positive Efficiency.

Crimson Shards

Use 1 to 3 Crimson Shards for Ability Strength.

Ability Damage Shards have a much stricter requirement and rely on external sources.

Violet Shards

Use 1 to 3 Violet Shards for:

  • Melee Critical Damage
  • Primary Electricity Damage

These are general buff options when focusing on Weapons instead of Nurinarim.

General Tips for Narin

  • Narin can use Companions to provide additional Cold procs, supporting her Passive, Nurinarim, or Naraemagi.
  • Sentinels can use Shivering Contagion together with consistent primers such as Tazicor or Artax.
  • Verglas also works, but is better suited for pure DPS.
  • Companion Cold procs can Freeze enemies and prevent Narin from triggering Arcane Ice Storm.
  • Narin has a base Energy value of 300, making Primed Flow or Archon Flow optional.
  • With dashes enabled during Nurinarim, Narin can also benefit from Melee Careen equipped on her Melee Weapons.
  • Naraemagi allows Narin to skip the usual survivability modding needs.
  • If Narin does not want to rely only on Naraemagi, Catalyzing Shields can be added to Shield Gate with any ability instead.
  • Nurinarim counts as a Channeled Ability, allowing Narin’s Companions to use Seismic Bond for additional Ability Efficiency.

Weapon Recommendations

Kuva Sobek

Use the Acid Shells augment.

Tenet Detron

A weaker alternative using Thermagnetic Shells.

Beam Weapons

Beam weapons equipped with Combustion Beam can also be used. Examples include:

  • Tenet Glaxion
  • Primary Vermisplicer

Akarius Prime

Another recommended weapon option.

Ocucor

Use the Sentient Surge augment.

Build Examples

Cookie Cutter

Casters

  • Catalyzing Shields helps in higher leveled content, otherwise unnecessary
  • Nourish allows Narin to fit more strength from Blind Rage

Roar can work without Equilibrium but if that feels iffy, then drop range/strength for it
