Uriel Guide (2026) – Builds, Abilities, Augments, Arcanes & Companions
Uriel controls three demons that follow him throughout missions. Each demon performs a unique function and is tied to one of Uriel’s abilities. A demon is unlocked when its associated ability is unlocked.
Subsuming one of these abilities does not remove the corresponding demon. However, that demon will no longer benefit from mods applied to Uriel.
The demons’ maximum Health scales with enemy levels in the mission.
Passive Demons
Catenach
Catenach snares and slows enemies, chaining them together. Damage dealt to any target in the chain is inflicted on all snared enemies.
Catenach is unlocked with Infernalis.
- The slow reaches a maximum of approximately 95% at 190% Ability Strength.
- Chain damage is redirected to all enemies in the chain.
- Catenach is particularly effective for rapidly building Arcane Camisado stacks.

Gulphagor
Gulphagor latches onto enemies and deals damage over time. When killed, a marked enemy spawns a circle of pain.
Gulphagor is unlocked with Remedium.
Enemies killed while affected by Gulphagor can spawn Health and Energy Orbs at a 3:1 ratio. The base drop chance is 300% for Health Orbs and 100% for Energy Orbs, scaling with Ability Strength.
This makes Gulphagor particularly effective with Equilibrium.
At 200% Ability Strength, killing marked enemies can spawn 6 Health Orbs and 2 Energy Orbs.
Gulphagor is also highly effective for rapidly building Arcane Camisado stacks.
Vythelas
Vythelas summons demonic runes when enemies are killed. Collecting these runes grants Fire Rate and bonus Heat damage.
Vythelas is unlocked with Demonium.
The runes provide significant damage potential, so collecting them consistently is important.
Infernalis
Uriel manifests an aura of flames that deals Heat damage and applies Heat Status Effects to nearby enemies.
Rolling while Infernalis is active puts Uriel into a flight-based movement state. During this state, he continuously spirals and gains immunity to Knockdown and Stagger.
Ability Strength affects:
- Infernalis’ Heat damage.
- Catenach’s chain damage.
- Catenach’s slow.
Ability Duration affects:
- Infernalis’ duration.
- The duration of Catenach’s chains.
Ability Range affects:
- The radius of Infernalis’ aura.
- The range of Catenach’s chains.
Catenach’s chain has a maximum range of 15 m.
Uriel’s flight speed scales from both Parkour Velocity and Dodge Speed. These bonuses scale multiplicatively with each other and are snapshotted when the flight state begins.
While Infernalis is active, Uriel’s demons gain a Heat aura.
Remedium
Uriel heals himself and his demons. During the casting animation, Uriel becomes invulnerable.
Remedium also cleanses all Status Effects. If any of Uriel’s demons are dead, they are resurrected.
Healing is applied to Uriel’s Health first, then Shields. Any excess healing is converted into Overguard.
Ability Strength affects:
- Uriel’s Health restoration.
- Uriel’s Shield restoration.
- Gulphagor’s Health Orb drop chance.
- Gulphagor’s Energy Orb drop chance.
Gulphagor has a base 300% Health Orb and 100% Energy Orb drop chance, which scales with Ability Strength.
Ability Duration affects the duration of Gulphagor’s field.
Ability Range affects the range of Gulphagor’s field, with a maximum of 12 m.
Demonium
Uriel drains 10% of each demon’s Health. Each demon then fires a homing projectile that applies a damage vulnerability debuff to enemies.
The damage vulnerability scales with Ability Strength:
- 35%
- 40%
- 45%
- 50%
Ability Strength also increases:
- Vythelas’ Fire Rate bonus.
- Vythelas’ bonus Heat damage.
Ability Duration affects:
- The duration of the projectiles fired by Uriel’s demons.
- The duration of the runes created by Vythelas.
Ability Range affects the radius of the explosion created by the projectiles.
While Infernalis is active, Uriel’s demons gain a Heat aura, and their souls apply that aura to enemies.
Brimstone
Brimstone must first be charged by performing actions involving Uriel’s demons and abilities. Charge is gained by:
- Killing enemies affected by Catenach’s chains.
- Killing enemies affected by Gulphagor.
- Picking up the runes created by Vythelas.
- Hitting enemies with Demonium.
When cast, Uriel becomes invulnerable during the casting animation and creates a growing ring of Brimstone that deals Heat damage. Each of Uriel’s active demons also creates the same effect.
Brimstone’s Heat damage scales with Ability Strength.
The Heat damage:
- Has a 100% Status Chance.
- Is dealt every 0.25 seconds.
- Increases by 100% every 0.5 seconds for each active field.
- Has a maximum damage multiplier of 10x.
The fields can be spread across a larger portion of the map by using a movement ability fast enough to outrun Uriel’s demons.
Recommended Stats
Ability Strength
Ability Strength is Uriel’s most important stat. It affects a large portion of his kit, including:
- Infernalis’ Heat damage.
- Vythelas’ Fire Rate and bonus Heat damage.
- Vythelas’ runes.
- Brimstone’s damage.
- Demonium’s damage vulnerability.
- Remedium’s Health and Shield restoration.
- Gulphagor’s Health and Energy Orb drop rates.
- Catenach’s slow.
Archon Intensify is effective on Uriel because healing performed by his demons also counts toward its effect.
Around 175-215% Ability Strength is a suitable range for a general build.
Ability Range
Range affects:
- Catenach’s chains.
- Demonium’s explosion radius.
- Brimstone’s area of effect.
The amount of Range needed depends on how Uriel is played. Brimstone-focused builds generally benefit from more Range, with around 175-235% Range being a suitable range.
Ability Efficiency
Negative Efficiency has a relatively small impact on Uriel because Gulphagor can generate large numbers of Energy Orbs, especially when combined with Equilibrium.
This allows Uriel to cast his abilities frequently as long as marked enemies are killed consistently.
Ability Duration
Ability Duration increases the uptime of:
- Catenach’s chains.
- Infernalis.
- Demonium’s Fire Rate and Heat damage buffs.
- Brimstone.
Around 150-200% Ability Duration should be sufficient for a general build.
Recommended Subsumes
Bright Bonnet
A strong choice for Brimstone-focused builds. Its energy regeneration and increased damage vulnerability, which benefits from Ability Strength, help maximize Brimstone’s damage output.
Roar
Boosts overall weapon damage and triple-dips on Heat Status damage-over-time effects.
Sickening Pulse
Doubles all Heat damage in a large area when cast.
Nourish
Applies Viral to enemies while increasing raw damage and providing additional Energy.
Archon Shards
Amber Archon Shards
Use 1-2 Amber Archon Shards for Casting Speed and some Parkour Velocity. The Parkour Velocity can make Uriel’s flight movement easier to control.

Crimson Archon Shards
Use Crimson Archon Shards for either:
- Ability Duration.
- Ability Strength.
Choose between them according to the needs of the build.

Violet Archon Shards
Violet Archon Shards can help replace Equilibrium, freeing up mod capacity for other options.
