Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – One Shotting DH Short Guide

Guide to One Shotting DH

All credit goes to Bobochen!

As a sadistic Zealot one-shotting DH is the most righteous stuff to do among all, after some extensive in-match testing (my record is 4 DHs one-shot in one match), here’s a short guide with thoughts.

Must Have

  1. Hammer, either one, with +25% damage against Unyielding, Thrust blessing

Tip: Personally I choose Ironhelm, it’s a bit harder to consistently one-shot DH because you need to hit the sweet spot perfectly to make it, but better overall in normal combat.

  1. Must have talents:
  • Purge the unclean
  • Shroudfield+perfectionist
  • Martyrdom + 7 wonnds

Tip: I also take until death and Holy Revenant to have better survivability but to do this, you need to sacrifice Invigorating revelations and Maniac.

  1. To execute

There are 2 different DHs: Sitting and Lying ones, always ping them to see the distance so you can time better, once you get within 7-8m it will be waken up, even in Shroudfield.

Here’s how you do it

  • First make sure you have 5-6 stack of Martyrdom minimum
    • Sitting DH: Approaching from its back from right side but have it position at left corner of your screen, which means you shall be able to see 90% of it at the moment releasing the BONK.
    • Lying DH: First position yourself far behind him so you cant see the head from behind, meaning you only see the shoulder from top, then same as above,
  • Use Shroudfield when you are about 8m away.
  • Start charging the hammer when you are about 5m away,
  • Follow up as DH wakes up to target the head.
  • BONK for the emperah.
  • Profit!

Damage is enough when you combine weakspot+ crit + backstab, if you practising in meatgrinder, a normal bonk without shroudfield above 14k damage is enough to break the 40k Health pool of DH.

Also you can one-shot every boss, too once you get comfortable.
