You can be joined by up to 3 other players on this journey after the Tutorial is completed. Player Skills, Techniques and Equipment

In Wildmender, the player gains skills (known as Memories from a variety of tasks. Both Memory points and some Memories will increase player Stats such as Health, Mana, and Essence. Other passive effects can be gained that all help in making life easier.

Presently, the Player has three weapons and three usable items for offense. The Mirror, Blazing Seeds, the sickle, Shining Feather, Blazing Seed and Grasping Seed.

Players have an “Quick Use” item slot that consumables can be placed in. Healing, Food, and Combat items are the most likely to be assigned.

The Player can also dodge by pressing a direction and tapping jump.

Players gain access to new skills for movement and combat as they progress through the game and story.

Players have a variety of tools at their disposal for management of plants and movement. They start with only a Bottle, but this collection of tools increases with progress through the game. Some tools may be upgraded.

Player Death

When a player dies, their inventory becomes scattered nearby on the ground by default. This option can be turned off in Difficulty settings so that inventory isn’t dropped on death. The player turns into a ghost and is returned to the Oasis Wellstone. The player’s death location is indicated by a red spirit icon on the compass at the top of the screen and on the map. The death marker will remain in place until Players revisit the location and pick up all dropped items.
