Wonderful. I’ve often felt that this task was designed to make you fail. Unless you speak latin this thing is a nightmare because the script in these forsaken books is illegible, and often misleading/outright lying if you can read it at all.

At first I thought that as well. But during one of my playthrough I accidently got one right, that’s when I know you can acctually do this task properly.
I was in the monastery for 1 in game day and then I found out who was the criminal. Were there good quests or story that I missed out on for completing it quickly? thx
Sort of, they’re mostly like trivia hunting, that monastery is a dark place

No but you’ll get punished if you keep getting it wrong for several days. That’s life for you… in the cloister that is.
tbh the monastery is nice to try and complete, even if you already know who is the target in question and its nice to save and go on a monkacide when you cant deal with there crap any more

Thanks for this guide. In my game, for whatever reason, the game decided to put the choice prompts on the RIGHT side of the screen, partially covering the book’s text. That made it entirely impossible to read what was already annoyingly difficult to read to begin with.
