Baldur’s Gate 3 – Guide for the Room in Cazador Szarr’s Palace

How to Open The Door on The Left

Сrеdit gоеs to shmef!

After you’ve opened the big cursed ritual door with the Szarr Ring and dictionary book from the lower floors, you enter a banquet hall full of bats and wolves.

Kill these enemies, and you’ll have two rooms on either side of the big throne. One open on the right facing the throne, one closed on the left – the open one to the right leads to the upper attic via ladder in that room, some button puzzles and info about Lady Incognito. The door to the right remains stubbornly closed.

This is the lefthand room.

To open it is a similar process as the treasure room in the attic, in that opening that door requires closing of another – in the attic treasure room it’s clear, as the buttons are right next to and in view of the doors in question. For the lower room, it’s in the LOWER area near the ladder, on a post horizontally (like a paper lying on a desk, not a doorbell on a wall) that can be difficult to spot.

This is the button.

You’ll need to split your party, have one hit the button to close the door with the ladder in it to open the far right room.

This will close the room with the ladder and open the far door on the ground floor. Inside is some loot, a chest that can be opened and beneath that chest, if you move it, is a trapdoor leading to a currently bugged puzzle section with levers below the palace – it’s supposed to work and Larian is aware it doesn’t, but it seems good to have this area open if there’s a patch that fixes it before your playthrough is done here.
