Alchemy!?

As title said it is a little guide how to use potions properly, since i see that not all of the people understand how powerful potions are, so here we go.

If you are reading that post i assume you already know how to unlock potions and how to get more of them.

There is 4 potions in the game and here how to use them properly:

Reverberance Potion

It duplicates chosen trait! And by duplicates we mean exactly duplicating e.g. if you use it on “Damage 1”, you will end up with “Damage 1″x2 in your traits list, which means you can also pick “Damage 2,3,4 and 5”.

Memorizing Potion

Allows you to lock one of traits to keep appearing in all subsequent level ups until the very moment you pick that trait. To use it properly you want to usually use it on Weapon Profiecy/Proficient Stance/Dedication OR crucial traits for abilities.

Crucial traits for abilities its special traits that can pop up only at certain level of ability i will bring Astronomer’s Orbs as example: Each ability level up you can pick different traits such as crit+crit dmg/dmg+speed+size/base crit+dmg etc. But there is one trait called bodies which adds +1 base orb value to the skill, you want always to have that one and it can pop up only at LVL 3, LVL 6 and LVL 10 of the SKILL, so in total +3 bodies without reverbs possible.

At the same time at level 3,6 and 10 there might pop up other unique trait that adds +10 base dmg to your ability, and +10 for orbs as we all know – its alot.

Back to memorizing potion if you are using it on crucial trait ability you lock one of the lvl 3,6,10 traits e.g. +1 orb or +10 base dmg value, and you dont pick that trait until the very moment other trait appears, so you will have both Unique traits on your leveling page and then you first pick non-locked trait, and on next level you can pick the locked trait, that way you will have both unique traits for that certain level of the ability, dont forget that you can reverb one or even both of these traits.

Anyway i believe most of people use memory potions for their weapon profiecy and/or proficient stance traits bcuz those usually gives the most powerful bonuses to your character main weapon and you always have to chose one of 2 possibly choices.

E.g. Cleric in his profiecy stance choices has +20% dmg and +50% range OR +20% dmg and -30% range, so you can memorize one of those, wait till other appear and just pick both of them, gaining all of the DMG, yes more dmg for the god of dmg!

Oblivious Potion

It makes you to forget trait from popping up for the rest of the run, pffft who even want that, right? Well actually it is pretty useful potion that allows you to create more specific charactes. E.G. your char usually dont have duration trait unless you pick something that can benefit from that trait for example “Summon golem” that guy comes with duration in pack, but if you are building him with magma fist way and not roll around you dont need duration at all, so there we can use oblivious potion, no trait – means more variety in traits that we actually need! Keep it in mind!

Other ways you are usualy want to use for traits you are not planning to level up for me personally it is Pick up range, since i dont need more then +100% from my blessings, it is also weak type of traits e.g. “Increase defense +2weak“.

And as a bonus for people that willing to farm gold like crazy, just keep in mind the more traits you throw to oblivion the faster you will reach that point where you can pick your sweet-sweet “Alms + 50g”.

Wine Potion

Allows you to simply re-roll current set of traits. Well thats pretty obvious one, specially useful at early levels where you are hunting some crucial traits!

Now you know more, now go and cleanese that world from the EVIL with the power of alchemy.
