Guide to Fix Blackscreen/Crash on Launch

Prior to launch of game

Verify Integrity: Right click game in library > properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files.

Note: This may come with a pop up that the cache and keys to the anti-cheat will be deleted continue this will not affect.

Update graphics drivers – Self explanatory.

Launch the game (if it crashes or black screens do not exit)

Locate and adjust game properties.

Launch game > right click taskbar icon at bottom of screen > right click Helldivers2 > Properties > compatibility > enable run in compatibility mode for windows 8 > enable run this program as administrator and apply.

Potential anti cheat issues (I did not encounter but others did)

Right click game in library > properties > Installed files > Browse (this will open a file explorer to location of game)

In the tools folder you will find GG setup and uninstall files. differing methods help different people.

Right click gguninst.exe run as admin > Right click GGSetup.exe run as admin.

Note: Had a friend do this and also apply previous properties to anti-cheat application while running. unsure if this is a confirmed fix or how to locate running anti-cheat program.

I may have gone about this in an odd way do whatever works best for you to locate and apply settings. I was unable to add properties from the exe files.
