Mothership Rooms
Mothership room add multiplicative bonus that stack with ships and space station nodes as well as Managers and they get saved after you sell a galaxy.
Key Rooms for Beginners:
- Underforge:
- Reduces smelting costs by up to 50% at lvl 11
- Dorms:
- Reduces crafting costs by up to 50% at lvl 11
- Laboratory:
- Reduces research project cost by up to 50% at lvl 11
All three of these rooms work towards making the early and mid game significantly easier and more playable.
Other Great Rooms to Work on Early Are:
- Robotics
- Level 4, it unlocks tier 4 missions.
- Lounge:
- Flat bonus credits.
Other Notable Information:
- Backup Generator
- Only invest as much as you need to sleep and/or work
- Have auto miner work the entire time, or maybe your work shift. Anything beyond that is useless
- Terrarium
- Invest at your own risk

Getting lounge to x1.5 will make your credits feel like they’re coming in significantly faster, because they will be. The lounge will pay for itself very quickly at this point.
Getting lounge to x2 will be even better, and, although the payback time will be much longer, it is still quite reasonable.
Getting the lounge to x2.5 is obviously an improvement, but now we’re talking only an extra 25% (over x2), and the payback time will be significantly longer, but still reasonable.
Getting to x3 will continue to be an obvious improvement, but even less percentage-wise. And the payback time is quite a bit longer. I’m not really sure it’s worth it.
Beyond that, the payback time for the lounge is immense, and I’ve only increased beyond this because the lounge is the cheapest upgrade on my list. It may pay for itself, but we’re talking about months if not years.
Note that getting the exodus makes all of these better, as does any credit module in the space station.
I’d recommend getting to x1.5 quickly. Then spend a bit improving your speed. And then get to x2 while also investing in other aspects. And then more slowly getting to x2.5. After that, it’s more personal preference where you want to spend your credits. I would not (and did not) hurry from x2.5 to x3.
