Introduction to the Guide

Hi everyone!

I’m going to explain going trough this in silver settings that I used. By following this guide IT IS NOT guaranteed that you will get achievement. The point of this is more or less to give out tips. To identify the ghost, use other guides this is not about that.

Using bronze settings should be a bit more easier and you can tinker around the settings yourself if you want to change something to your liking.

So let’s begin with some settings.

Requirement for the Apocalypse Trophies

Requirements for trophies:

  • Have a ghost picture.
  • Complete 3 side objectives.
  • Identify the correct ghost type.
  • Map must be Sunny Meadows & not the restricted one.
  • Must be played on the Singleplayer mode.

Equipment to Bring in

The game should provide you with some essential equipment but not everything you need in order to survive the map alone or to find the ghost room.

Must have equipment especially with Silver settings:

  • 1x Tier III EMF Reader.
  • 1x Tier I Thermometer.
  • 1x Tier III Video Camera.
  • 2x Tier II or Tier III Crucifix.
  • 3x Any tier Firelight
  • 1x Tier II or Tier III Head gear.
  • 2x Tier II or Tier III Lighter.
  • 4x Tier II or Tier III Smudges.
  • 2x Tier II or Tier III Motion sensors.
  • 1x Tier III Parabolic Microphone.
  • 1x Tier II or Tier III Photo Camera.
  • 3x Tier II or Tier III Salt.
  • 4x Tier II or Tier III Sanity Medication.

Fuse Box Locations & Objectives

Optimal placement for fuse box is in Foyer, Basement corridor or in Utility room.

Optimal objectives would be following as they are easy to do or already required in order to get the trophies:

  • Find the evidence of paranormal activity with and EMF Reader.
  • Capture a picture of the ghost.
  • Detect a ghost’s presence with a motion sensor.
  • Prevent the ghost from hunting with a crucifix.
  • Get the ghost to blow out a firelight.

I would personally restart the map if I received any of these following objectives:

  • Have a member of your team witness a ghost event.
  • Get an average sanity below 25%.
  • Detect a paranormal sound with a Parabolic Microphone.

IF any of the objectives or fuse box locations are not ideal or you do not want to do them just restart the map.

Start of the Map

  • Check instantly objectives you receive for the map & fuse box location.
  • If they are not to your liking, restart.

After you have your ideal objectives and the fuse box location is just right for you consume 3 sanity medications and wait for them to affect your in game character.

While you wait for the sanity medication to affect your you can start to throw items trough the door.

After you’ve thrown your equipment in and you’ve checked that your sanity is at 100% you can grab the key and open the door.

Equipment to Identify Ghost Room

Take the following items to identify the ghost room, Parabolic microphone, Thermometer & Video camera.

Tier II or Tier III Head Gear

This one is optional but we can use this mainly for visibility as Sunny Meadows is dark map and does not have lights at every corner.

Tier III parabolic microphone

We can use Tier III parabolic microphone to centralize the location of the ghost so we do not need to go trough every inch of the Sunny Meadows before finding it and losing all of our sanity in progress.

Thermometer

We can use to identify the ghost room, It really does not matter what tier of thermometer you’re using but I prefer to use Tier I as it does not take time to react to tempetature changes on the current version of the game.

Video camera

We can use to to identify ghost orbs in the room so leave it behind when you have identified the ghost room just in case you want to check for ghost orbs back in the truck as well.

Moving inside Sunny Meadows

So you’ve just taken Parabolic microphone, Thermometer & Video camera in with you.

Next up is moving in the building.

Always remember to have lights on in the room and hallways where you’re in as we have sanity drain set to 200%, it goes down faster than you think.

As you move more and more into the map scan out your surroundings for possible loop locations, escape routes or hiding places you can use.

When you’re in hallways use the Tier III Parabolic microphone as a guide as it has range of 30 metres forward and its screen displays the position, and the volume of each individual sound.

There might be random sounds like screams etc in Sunny Meadows but you should be able to identify ghost throwing items or moving doors.

When you enter a room turn lights on, check tempetature with thermometer and if it does not start to go down EXIT and as you exit turn the light switch off from the room so you do not blow up the fuse on fuse box.

After identifying the ghost room, check it with the video camera in case of orbs flying around and afterwards leave it in room so you can check it again when you get back to the truck.

Bring the parabolic mic with you back to the truck as well so you can listen to the ghost steps from a safe distance when it hunts.

First Time Back in the Truck

When you get back into the truck for the first time check your sanity to see how much it has dropped.

After that you can check for the orbs again from the truck.

I’d highly recommend at this point bringing some salt and at least single crucifix into the ghost room.

It might take you few journeys to go and grab everything you need to do the side objectives and identify the ghost but securing the room with crucifix so it cant hunt easily would be a nice touch.

Ghost picture

There are few ways to gain the ghost picture.

  • One is trough a ghost event, which is the more ideal one.
  • Just hang out with the ghost in the room and wish for a ghost event, might take a while or not.

OR

  • Then we have ghost hunt which is bit riskier and might make you restart the whole map as the ghost catches you.
  • Just remember to have some smudges and your camera around if you end up choosing the ghost hunt as an option.

Listening to Steps

If you have been fortunate enough that you already have the ghost picture from an event, you can go a bit further away on a safe distance with a smudge and parabolic microphone.

As it starts to hunt take your parabolic microphone out and point it towards the ghost room.

You should start hearing it step around, when it steps start tracking the tempo of the steps by making some clicking noises with your mouth or tapping your feet on the ground.

After the hunt is completed, write up the tempo of the ghost into notes.
