Ratopia – How to Build Water Dispenser

Water dispenser for your lovely ratizens.

Water Dispenser Guide

Intro

The whole idea came from here.

I discovered this while exploring the cave, realized that water in this game only expands horizontally unless the water is dropped from the top.

Building the Water Dispenser

Core roles are

  1. Rat made blocks except roofs retain water longer.
  2. Water only expands horizontally.

Behold the Water Dispenser!

Ratizens won’t drown in a 1 block high water, there are a lot of ways to do this, just keep the core roles in mind.

Make the exit 2 blocks high when expanding the top, but beware, keeping this for too long will drown the water tank worker.

Outro

Now you have Water Dispensers to keep your Ratizens hydrated.

  1. Out of curiosity, are the dewebs necessary in any way? Would the rain not fall the same if there was empty space in place of them? I haven’t got to using them yet so I don’t know anything about them, but it seems to me that they wouldn’t be useful at all if the rain just fills up the tank anyway.

    • There’s no rain during winter and drought, the empty space on top is a perfect space to build some dewebs. I would say you don’t need the deweb if you aren’t planing to sell water though, rabbit hole along can sustain a lot of ratizens, it all boils down to your city plan.
