How to Defeat Spectral Guardian of N’Erud

It was pretty rough initially, but you learn the steps eventually. The intermissions are the hard parts of course.
- Obviously attack the big orb for weak spot damage.
- When small hands come out, attack the green projectiles with your handgun (they get one-shot), when one glows purple just roll and it dies after shooting at you.
- If it glows dark, I just walk around without attacking to stay safe, when the big hand pillar comes out don’t bother attacking it, just keep moving and avoiding lasers. There are two kinds of lasers, the short instant beam that goes away (dodge on sound cue), and the laser that stays for the whole intermission. Try to position the ones that stay during the intermission along the wall and edges so you have free space to roll from the one-shot…
- For the one-shot, when you hear his loud deep scream thing just spam roll in one direction until it comes out, then turn 180 degrees and attack the orb while walking backwards.
I think this was the gist of it for me? Something just clicked for me on that boss randomly and I went from dying in the first intermission every time to getting him to like 20% then killing it next run without healing.
Change up your amulet and rings as well, I used a defensive setup (specifically the one where using like 25 stamina giving you a shield was very helpful for the intermission lasers when I’d screw up).
It’s an absolutely horrible boss. Too many attacks going off at the same time, and several have awful hitboxes, like the delayed lightning.
It literally goes pulse laser into lightning into hands into black hole with one attack running into the next, all of them targeted AoEs with hitboxes bigger than their model.
All while having apparently tens of thousands of health as a full magazine of LMG ammo into its weakspot does around 5% damage.
