Electricity Bills
The daily store electricity bill is calculated based on the store’s size, including expansions in both Shop A and Shop B, and is charged per IRL minute. There is also a flat daily fee for each Checkout Counter in the shop, regardless of where it is placed.
Electricity Cost Breakdown
Daily Checkout Counter Fee
Each Checkout Counter costs $4 per day.
There will always be a minimum $4 daily fee, because the final Checkout Counter cannot be removed. This fee applies whether the counter is boxed or not.
Per-Minute Electricity Rate
The base electricity rate is $1 per IRL minute.
The rate increases based on Shop A and Shop B expansions:

As of the expansions added in version 0.52, a fully expanded shop with 30 Shop A expansions and 14 Shop B expansions has a maximum electricity charge rate of $12.50 per IRL minute.

Example Electricity Bills
The source gives the following examples of large electricity bills:
- Approximately $40,000 every 3 days with a fully expanded shop and 4 Checkout Counters, assuming approximately 55 hours total with the lights on.
- Approximately $6,700 with 20 Shop A expansions, 5 Shop B expansions, and 3 Checkout Counters, based on approximately 14.5 hours, though the store may be on for possibly 18 hours.
Reducing Electricity Costs
If ripping packs or restocking and organizing the store after the day is over at 9 PM, consider doing so with the lights off to minimize the electricity bill.
