This guide explain what are those bars doing.
Guide to Stat Bars
All credit goes to Combine00!
What They Are
They are very loosely a 0-100% indicator that shows how close to a minimum or maximum roll for that stat you are. The rating of a weapon is possibly an average value of those stat bars. so higher rating = more points distributed to the bars, but that also means that a low damage roll higher rated weapon could do less damage than a high damage roll, lower rated weapon
Melee Stat Bar
Damage
- Damage dealt
Penetration
- Damage dealt to armour
Defense
- Affects sprint cost per second, block cost(stam loss when hit), push cost(stam loss when pushing)
Finesse
- HS/crit damage against all targets, possibly affects weapon handling
Mobility
- Affects sprint max speed/acceleration, dodge distance(how far each dodge is)/count(how many times you can max dodge)/speed(how quick they are)/how far you dodge when you have 0 dodge count, and general move speed
First Target
- Increases damage to the first enemy hit
Cleave Amount
- Increases the amount of enemies you can hit
Cleave Damage
- Increases damage to cleaved enemies as well as the first enemy hit (increases damage from targets 1-7)
Warp Resist
- Reduces cost of warp-gaining actions
Ranged Stat Bar
Stability
- Affects sway and recoil
Ammo
- Affects amount of ammo you have in clip and in reserve
Damage
- Damage dealt
Power
- Armour damage
Mobility
- Affects sprint max speed/acceleration, dodge distance(how far each dodge is)/count(how many times you can max dodge)/speed(how quick they are)/how far you dodge when you have 0 dodge count, and general move speed
Control
- Affects stagger strength, on-kill suppression distance/amount, as well as affecting damage against armour
Reload
- How fast reload animation is
Explosion Size
- Affects radius of explosion and radius of suppression and amount of suppression for some weapons
Explosion Armour Penetration
- Explosion damage to armour
Warp Resist
- Reduces cost of warp-gaining actions
Charge Speed
- How quickly it charges
Charge Cost
- How much it costs to charge
Vent Speed
- How fast you vent and how quickly you auto vent
Crit
- Affects crit damage and crit chance
Burn
- Affects how many burn stacks can be max, and how fast they can be applied
Cloud Radius
- Affects angle of flamer’s fire spread
I guess Cleave Damage is a lot more responsible for overall damage than I realized. I just got a Power Sword that’s basically better in every category, except less cleave damage. And it does, overall, less damage to a single target. Even with higher finesse, the headshot damage is less. That’s gonna make it SO hard to tell if something’s gonna be better.
i’ve noticed cloud radius for the force staff affects the max range, and the angle of the flame’s spread
“Mobility
Affects sprint max speed/acceleration, dodge distance/count/speed/how far you dodge when you have 0 dodge count, and general move speed” Goddamn, if it seriously does all that it’s the most important stat in the whole game
What about the Range stat on the heavy stubber for Ogyn?
From what i can see it just modifies ranged.far.attack for pretty much all armour types, as well as changing ranges.max and ranges.min
Ogryn shovels have a “Crowd Control” bar you’re missing
Nice! Here’s a couple. Shredder is a unique modifier for Chainsaw on how much damage it does. Cleave Amount is Cleave Targets on mine. Vent Speed is called Quell Speed. I think Finesse is either might be crit rate or just headshot bonus damage, coz there’s also Critical Bonus. I think Critical Bonus is the critical damage maybe (or it’s in reverse and critical bonus is critical bonus rate)?
i think shredder specifically acts as a modifier for weapon special damage since it overrides damage profiles for “sticky” attacks. finesse is still a boost_curve_multiplier so i assume it works the same way and from what i can see it still affects crit and hs damage
collateral (on autoguns and I believe the shredder pistol)
the hambone that one wasnt missing, but apparently its labelled as “control” in the code. so from what i can see control = collateral. (five stats listed are: DPS, Mobility, Power, Control, Ammo for all types of auto pistols i could see.)
