A short, helpful guide for monkey teams.

Introduction

Monkey Teams. A special gamemode where you use 3 towers for an entire game on the selected map. It’s pretty self explanatory, but I decided to make a guide anyway (and keeping it short). So if you wanted to learn a little bit more about Monkey Teams, then this is the guide for you.

The Basics

So let’s get this out of the way. You have to use the selected monkeys to get a reward (Monkey Money) at the end of the game.

Here’s an example:

A monkey part of the team has been placed. Everything is normal.

A monkey not part of the team has been placed. Monkey teams icon is broken, and monkey teams are no longer in affect.

Monkey Teams are also automatically disabled in Freeplay.

Rewards

As stated previously, completed games with monkey teams still enabled will give you a little bit of monkey money. This monkey money scales with map difficulty and game difficulty (as with most things in the game).

Heroes

Probably the most confusing thing about monkey teams are heroes, and whether or not they work in monkey teams. However, they do work in monkey teams!

So now the question is “Which hero is best for monkey teams?” Of course, the answer is subjective, but it wouldn’t hurt to use Heroes that cover weaknesses of the monkey team.

So in the team I’ve used in this guide, I only had 2 upgrades that could target camo, and 1 upgrade that could reveal camo. However, these upgrades are either too expensive or way too limited to use, so I would use a hero that has camo defense, or gives camo detection, like Etienne (Level 8 Etienne ability is really good, especially for monkey teams).

Achievements

Monkey Teams has 3 achievements associated with it.

Other Things

  • Monkey Teams refresh around every 4 hours.
  • Monkey Teams cannot occur at the same times as golden bloons.
  • Monkey Teams originates from Bloons Monkey City (Unlike Bloons Monkey City, Villages and Farms aren’t always part of the team).
