A guide describing what is needed for each achievement in Dave the Diver.
Intro

Dave the Diver has one story related achievement that you may accidentally miss. This achievement is the secret achievement Ration Eater. To not miss this achievement, make sure that you skip to the Ration Eater section of the guide before you enter the Sea Blue base in the quest line “Infiltrate the Sea Blue base.”
All Achievements
Bancho Sushi is Back!
You get this achievement after making 100 gold to repair Bancho’s Sushi shop.
Undersea Gunslinger
Completed the gun tutorial.
New Undersea Friend
Completed the Dolphin’s request.
You will receive this after saving the pink dolphin a few times. The dolphin visits you randomly while diving during the day (morning/afternoon) in the Blue Hole Shallows.
Better Equipment
Made first equipment upgrade.
Make your first equipment upgrade through Duff’s Weapon Shop app. The ability to upgrade is unlocked after finishing the quest Kill the Giant Squid.
Undersea Civilization!
Discovered the under-sea village.
Deep-sea Diver
Entered the Deep Sea for the first time.
Culinary Researcher
Researched 5 new dishes.
Use artisan flames that you gain by receiving a good score during the dining service at night. How many stars you get reflects how many flames you will receive. 5 stars = 5 flames and so on.
Culinary Master
Enhanced 5 dishes.
Your “best taste” score is based off of the dishes you enhance. Typically fish that you catch deeper in the Blue Hole will cost more and have a better base “taste.” To get this achievement I leveled the Tiger Shark sushi dish to get to the Gold Influencer achievement. When the Glacial area opened I leveled the Narwhal sushi dish to get the Diamond Influencer achievement.

Influencer
Reached Bronze Level in Cooksta.
Your best taste score is based off of your BEST dishes TASTE. Go to your menu and sort your dishes by taste, choose a higher tier taste to level up and reach other influencer tiers. You only need one dish to have a high best taste score as it is based off of your singular, BEST dish.
Scrap Metal Collector
Picked up 100 items.
Angry Shark!
Caught first shark.
Dave the Sniper
Caught 10 fish with a Sniper Rifle.
Mister Melee
Caught 20 fish with melee weapons.
Saved Dave!
First time bringing Dave back from the brink of death.
A Dark and Cold Place
Discovered the Glacier Passage.
After finishing the quest “Infiltrate the Sea Blue base” you will gain access to the Glacier Passage.
Momo’s Secret
Got to know Momo a little better.
Visit the sushi shop during the day (morning/afternoon) and feed Momo. You can only feed Momo once a day. After about 5-ish cans of cat food you will get a cut scene with Momo after the restaurant closes. You can find cat food in loot boxes when diving.
Achoo!
Entered the Glacier Passage for the first time.
A Peaceful Blue Hole
Watched the ending credits.
Dumplings in the Water
Mima’s restaurant opened.
Follow Mima’s quest line until she finally opens. She will ask you to collect ingredients about 3 times before she opens her restaurant.
The Seaweed is Growing!
Gumo’s seaweed farm opened.
First you will need to finish Khanzin’s quests before Gumo will open. When you finish Khazin’s quests, he will give you a Seaweed seed to bring to Gumo to plant.
Feeble Blacksmith
Duwa’s workshop opened.
It’s not required to do all of Duwa’s quests to open the workshop. However, Duwa will give you a quest called “Reopening the Workshop” where he asks you to get him 5 opal ore. Afterwards, Duwa will have another task for you before the workshop will open the next time you visit.
Weapon Collector
Collected all the blueprints.
Important: Gun variants such as a “Shock Grenade Launcher” or a “Fire Sniper Rifle” DO NOT count towards learning a recipe. You will need to pick up a PLAIN RECIPE 3 times to unlock it.
The grenade launcher and the ice gun will probably be the most difficult to find. The ice gun can only be found AFTER you unlock the Glacier Passage. After unlocking the Glacier Passage, I found the gun several times in the ice area as well as the Blue Hole Shallows. The grenade launcher is most likely to spawn in the Blue Hole Depths.
Arms Craftsman
Enhanced gun 3 times.
You just need to enhance 3 times. It doesn’t have to be the same gun.
Sea People Historian
Captured all of the Sea People murals.
You will be forced to photograph all but ONE mural throughout the entire gameplay. The final mural, once you finish the game, is in the Glacial Passage. Go through the doors to the Glacial Passage in the Sea People Village, once you are there swim down to the level with the giant mirror. Swim left and go through the passage. You will have to redo this puzzle in order to reach the mural.
Predator of the Blue Hole
Caught 300 fish.
Catman
Fed cat 20 times.
Visit the restaurant during the day (morning/afternoon) and feed the cats. You can only feed the cats once a day.
Blacksmith Helper
Sold 200 items at workshop.
Professional Farmer
Installed sprinklers in the garden.
To unlock the sprinkler you have to buy all of the watering can upgrades.
GYAO! Master
Raised 5 GYAO!s.
To unlock the GYAO’s you need to do the side mission “Stormy Night.” Whirlpools will spawn on stormy nights and upon entering these whirlpools, you will be met with a boss monster. When you defeat the Truck Hermit Crab the GYAO’s should unlock. GYAO’s are very similar to Tamagotchi’s…. they pretty much are a Tamagotchi. You need to raise the GYAO to adulthood, let it die, and do it over again 5 times for this achievement.
Photographer
Took 10 photos at Photo Spots.
I was able to complete this achievement by just questing and exploring. There are many photograph opportunities, the first one being in the Deep Blue Depths. Once you take your first photo, more begin to occur throughout the map. As you progress in the story, more photo spots open in different areas/times of day.
Strange Fish
Captured 5 FishMon.
Eventually you will get a quest from Udo the photographer to begin capturing Fishmon. He will give you a new Fishmon to catch every Saturday, you have until Sunday night to catch the fish or you will have to wait until the next Saturday to try again.
Pro Tip: Udo tells you how deep the fish are and WHAT YOU NEED to capture them….

Achieved Platinum rank in Cooksta.
Leadership
Trained employees to level 20.
This one is so expensive…. save money.

Achieved Diamond rank in Cooksta.
Artisan’s Flame
Researched 30 new dishes.
Manager
Bancho Sushi formed a branch restaurant.
Complete this by doing all of the VIP missions. Eventually, a news reporter will come into the shop with new challengers every week. You will go head to head in a cook off, having to play a Cooking Mama style mini-game. The final mission will unlock a new branch restaurant.
Secret Achievements
Ration Eater
Ate rations.
This one is potentially missable if you don’t choose to pick up the rations in the Sea Blue base. I do not know if you are able to go back into the base so please just be aware. The rations will be found on the third floor of the Sea Blue base. You have to walk over them in order to complete the mission.
Dev Killer
Wiped-out all the developers.
This unlocks once you finish the game. During the credits, you need to find and “kill” all of the developer names before the credits finish. If you fail the first time, it unlocks as a mini-game on your phone the next day. It seems that the map “wraps” around, so, you can endlessly swim in one direction.
God of Lightning
Caught a fish with Mjolnir.
The Mjolnir has a percent chance to spawn in the Glacial Passage only. It can spawn in many different places on the map so be on the lookout for it. It will spawn in a big chunk of ice, you will have to break it out. You must kill at least one fish with it, doesn’t matter the size of the fish.
Creature Hunter
Caught all bosses.
Says “caught” but it really means kill. Complete the main questline as well as the Stormy Nights questline to unlock this achievement. Check your Marinca app to keep track of all of the bosses you have already completed.
About the “GYAO! Master”, when my Gyao dies do I need to revive it to get a new one or do I need to wait to get a new Gyao? And the “God of Lightning” if it appears once but I ignore it can it appear again?
When the GYAO dies press “revive”, it doesn’t actually revive the dead GYAO it just gives you a new baby to start fresh on.
Just as an FYI, for “God of Lightning”, it didn’t give me the achievement when I initially killed fish with the Mjolnir — I think I killed and picked up about 10 fish before getting the achievement. I’m wondering if it requires multiple fish, certain types of fish, or just was fluke or didn’t immediately register.
about (Creature Hunter) do i have to kill the bosses only to get it?
if yes, i did kill all of them but i didn’t get the achievement. but i think the game glitch on me, cuz it shows that i didn’t kill the phantom jellyfish boss. (i finished the game already).
if anyone have a solution please tell me, i don’t want to replay the whole game </3
Hmm. Have you tried going back to where that fight was and seeing if you forgot to farm all of it’s body? I’m not sure what “triggers” it being loaded into your Marinca. You can also check your recipes to see if you had the special dish from killing it to confirm if you harvested it.

i tried going back to the 2nd cave to see it. but there is strong wind (idk the name of it) blocking me.
i remember we entered this cave with the baby pink dolphin.
and yes, i found the recipe.

How do you get saved dave?
Saved Dave is given to you after you run out of oxygen or “die” for the first time while diving.

It seems Sea People Historian bugged for me? as i got the one shown but Dr.Bacon never called me.
it’s possible that you might have accidentally missed a mural that they handed to you. I would go back to any other puzzle rooms, the first room in the Lime Stone area to see if you missed any of those.
In regards to the “Sea People Historian” achievement…. there are at least 2 murals that you cannot take a picture of when you first find them because the story takes you to another room / area automatically after completing the event in that room. I noticed that there was a ‘Camera Icon’ over the murals, so I backtracked to those rooms and took the pictures. I hope this helps you…
Note on Dev Killer, it seem you can’t get it the first time on the credit screen. Only in the mini-game that you unlock afterwards. I tried it myself when I cleared the story mission and can confirm.
