Gunner main here, couple of tips that come to mind.

• If you build one weapon for crowd control, build the other for single target.
• Stick near your teammates.
• Place shields proactively, don’t wait until one of your teammates to go down.
• Don’t hang from your ziplines during swarms.
• Sticky grenades are a great pair with the minigun for fearing praetorians and stunning them as they move.
• Leadbursters can be thrown at a bulk det for massive damage.
• You don’t always have to shield a downed teammate, if it’s safe to quickly clear the area then revive do so or if you have aggressive venting minigun you can overheat -> revive safely in a lot of cases.
• Second wind counts riding a zipline as sprinting so if you like that perk good news gunner works well with it there.
• If you’re on a zipline and feel your about to get knocked off mash e and you can re-grab the zipline the second you fall.

Staying on ziplines during swarms does 2 things:

• All enemies that fire projectiles will prioritize targeting you.
• All other enemies will swarm your team mates.

Both of these things are negative in 90% of situations.

As someone above me said, build one weapon for single target, and the other for swarm control. That will ensure youll be able to hande anything.

Overclocks to look out for (I hope I get the names right):

• Hellfire for the Coilgun – makes it one of the most powerful weapons in the game, seriously.
• Big Bertha for the Autocannon – turn it into an absolute beast against single targets, also one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
• Bullet Hell for the Minigun – disliked by most, loved by me. Essentialy turns your minigun into a swarm control weapon, with homing bullets. Its not that powerful and has a few drawbacks, but my god is it such a fun OC.

Last tip: Rip and Tear. Gunner is a wonderfuly simple, yet powerful class. Have fun.
