Human Ice Mage Build
Human Ice Mages are versatile characters focused on battlefield control while still being capable of dealing significant damage with the right build, even though the Chill effect itself does not deal damage.
This build uses 60 skill points.

Attributes
Nearly all attribute points are invested in Adventure, because Elemental Ranger provides an additional 0.25 magical damage from Adventure.
Recommended Equipment
Pathweaver 6/6
Pathweaver increases physical damage by dealing magical damage and increases magical damage by dealing physical damage. At 5 stacks, this provides a 35% bonus.
Rootbound 3/5
Rootbound deals good strike damage on the third basic attack and briefly immobilizes the opponent.
It works well with the cross-class skill Arrow of the Deep Cold and Surge of Mastery, which provides 25% attack speed after a critical strike.
Frostward 3/6
Frostward provides additional ice damage.
For secondary stats, prioritize an increase in Chill effectiveness on Frostward because no skill points have been allocated to it.
Secondary Stats
Prioritize the following secondary stats:
- Critical hit chance
- Critical damage
- Attack speed
- Spell haste
- Chill effectiveness on Frostward
Spells
Weapon Swap
Weapon Swap provides the Versatile Warrior skill bonus and adds variety to the gameplay.
A preferred approach is to start attacking enemies with the crossbow and finish them with the sword.
Frost Glide
Frost Glide allows you to glide through a group of enemies without taking damage while leaving ice pools behind.
Turning around during the glide can cause the ability to hit enemies twice.
It is also useful for dodging shots from Aetherfang Wolves.
Blizzard
Casting Blizzard on yourself is useful in close combat.
Be aware that it has a slow cast time.
Frost Strike
Frost Strike can interrupt an enemy that gets too close.
When combined with Blizzard, it keeps the enemy under the deluge of ice for longer.
Aetherfang Phalanx
Aetherfang Phalanx launches five blades, granting 5 stacks of additional physical damage in a single strike while also dealing good single-target damage.
The blades are automatically launched with Weapon Swap, Frost Glide, or Frost Strike.
Combat Strategy
The main goal is to accumulate damage bonuses through Pathweaver and the cross-class ability Frostforged Might, while dealing with ranged enemies and using mobility so that other enemies struggle to catch up.
Bosses
Against bosses, use the Frosted Oil consumable to deal an additional 50% damage as Frost damage with your weapon for 5 seconds.
