Timeless Void Quick Loop Build
The Timeless Void Quick Loop build focuses on rapidly cycling through Timeless Void damage rotations. By combining Backstep Strike, Echo Rift, and Timeless Void, the build reduces Timeless Void’s cooldown and allows it to be cast multiple times in a single fight without long waiting periods.
The build relies on precise timing, critical chance, and cooldown reduction to maximize its damage potential.
Skill Point Allocation
Backstep Strike
Invest in the repeating Backstep Strike upgrade to generate 4 to 8 Temporal Surge stacks instantly. Temporal Surge is essential for activating the cooldown reduction from Echo Rift.
Echo Rift
Upgrade Echo Rift into Base Surge Rift. This provides the cooldown reduction gained from consuming Temporal Surge without requiring further upgrades.
The second hit of Echo Rift clears most of Timeless Void’s cooldown, allowing the rotation to continue quickly.
Timeless Void
Upgrade Timeless Void into Echoing Void to apply the Temporal Echo debuff to affected enemies.
This sacrifices the damage-over-time effect, but the lost damage is relatively low. In return, the upgrade provides access to a 24% critical chance bonus against echoed enemies, which is important for the build’s damage output.
Temporal Echo Duration
Invest one point in Temporal Echo duration to extend the effect by one second. Without this additional duration, the echo expires just before Timeless Void’s final explosion.
Critical Chance Optimization
The standard build provides 10% + 24% critical chance.
If additional critical chance is needed, an alternative skill tree path can be used. Invest in the right-side tree first before branching downward to gain another 8% critical chance. This comes at the cost of reduced damage.

Recommended Spells
Ripple
Ripple is the build’s only decent option for clearing groups of enemies. It also deals reasonable ether damage when used at close range.
Alpha Howl
Alpha Howl provides fast damage and performs well against large bosses. It also helps with clearing groups of enemies.
Aetherfang Phalanx
Aetherfang Phalanx is a good burst damage option against larger bosses when equipped with its five-piece set.
However, its aiming mechanics make it unreliable against smaller enemies, which limits its usefulness outside boss encounters.
Ideal Combat Rotation
Follow this sequence to maximize Timeless Void’s damage and cooldown reduction:
- Backstep Strike: Generate Temporal Surge.
- Echo Rift: Consume Temporal Surge to activate the cooldown reduction effect.
- Timeless Void: Cast Timeless Void within the available window.
- Ripple: Deal additional damage.
- Alpha Howl: Continue dealing damage.
- Backstep Strike: Generate Temporal Surge again.
- Echo Rift: Trigger another cooldown reduction.
- Explosion: Allow Timeless Void to complete its final explosion.
Timing and Cooldown Management
After casting Echo Rift, there is approximately 1.5 seconds to cast Timeless Void. This makes the opening sequence particularly demanding.
After casting Timeless Void, continue the rotation only after Echo Rift’s second hit connects. Otherwise, the cooldown reduction may be applied to the skill with the shorter remaining cooldown instead of Timeless Void.
Correct timing is essential to maintaining the quick loop and maximizing the number of Timeless Void casts during a fight.
Stats and Equipment
Stat Priorities
For any spellbook, including Aetherfang Phalanx and Ripple, meet the minimum stat requirements first. Afterward, maximize magic power through Intelligence (INT), Agility (AGI), and Advance (ADV).
Equipment Sets
- Seven-piece Spiritbound: Recommended equipment set for the build.
- Five-piece Precision Fang: Recommended when using Aetherfang Phalanx.
- Alternative sets: If not using Aetherfang Phalanx, use any combination of three-piece and two-piece sets that provide ether damage or magic damage bonuses.
Advantages
- Allows multiple Timeless Void casts in a single fight without lengthy cooldown waits.
- Remains capable of cycling Timeless Void even when the rotation is not executed perfectly.
- Offers a distinctive playstyle centered on rapid cooldown reduction and repeated explosions.
Disadvantages
- Requires the Backstep Strike → Echo Rift → Timeless Void sequence to work correctly.
- Provides only approximately 1.5 seconds to cast Timeless Void after Echo Rift.
- Timeless Void has a relatively long casting time, making the rotation difficult to execute.
- Has poor mob-clearing capability, even with Ripple.
- Delivers underwhelming DPS despite the complexity of the rotation.
Recommended Leveling Strategy
Starting with this build at level 1 is strongly discouraged. Its demanding combo requirements, limited mob-clearing ability, and reliance on specific skill upgrades make early progression inefficient.
A more practical approach is to play Shadow Elf normally and transition to Time Mage at level 20 or later.
