Dimraeth – Shadow Convergence Burst Night’s Whisper Shadow Elf

Shadow Convergence Burst Night’s Whisper Shadow Elf Guide

This Shadow Elf build focuses on burst damage.

Gear

The build uses:

  • 6-piece Lionspear
  • 2-piece Moonthorn
  • 2-piece Thornborn
  • 2-piece Pitfighter

The setup uses Lionspear 2-2-2 as the foundation of Ezic’s build. It takes the idea of using 6-piece Lionspear with 2 Moonthorn and 2 Thornborn, but uses 2 Pitfighter instead of Duskbloom because suitable Duskbloom pieces were not available.

The gear set is effective for utilizing critical hits to increase damage from basic attacks and can work with physical Elf builds in general.

Skills

The main skill setup consists of:

  • Tendon Slice
  • Backstep Strike
  • Vanishing Strike
  • Shadow Convergence
  • War Banner or Bramble Thorns

The fifth slot is flexible.

War Banner is a damage-boosting ultimate with a long cooldown.

Bramble Thorns can apply Bleed to groups from a distance, making it useful as an engagement tool.

Burst Rotation

The main burst sequence is:

  1. Vanishing Strike
  2. Tendon Slice
  3. Backstep Strike
  4. Shadow Convergence

Make sure to land Shadow Convergence within the 3-second timers of Focused Assault and Shadowed Steel to receive the free 30% damage boost.

If you are able to fit both casts of Shadow Convergence into the available downtime because of Relentless Convergence, the burst can deal even more damage.

During downtime, repeatedly casting Backstep Strike and Vanishing Strike can restore the damage boosts because they have no cooldown. Chaining these skills while using other abilities can further maximize the damage.

Recommended Stats

Prioritize:

  1. Critical Chance
  2. Physical Damage
  3. Attack Damage
  4. Thrust Damage
  5. Critical Damage

Critical Chance is particularly important because the build relies on critical hits to activate Lionspear’s Thrust damage boost.

When to Skip Shadow Convergence

If you do not get a critical hit between Vanishing Strike and Backstep Strike, it can be better not to use Shadow Convergence.

Without the critical hit, Shadow Convergence would be missing one 20% damage boost. The skills have relatively low cooldowns, so you can try the combination again in around 3 seconds.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The build struggles somewhat with dealing with groups.

The build has been used in Hard World T3 Deeds.
