Kuki Shinobu is a 4-Star Sword Support character who is great as the off-field Electro in Hyperbloom teams since she is a healer and can also be built with EM ! She can also be used as a pure Supportive healer or enable Aggravate/Spread in Quicken teams!

Talent & Ascension Materials

Leveled to 90/90 assuming she is being used to cause Hyperblooms! You can save more resources by not leveling up her Burst.

Artifact Sets

• Hyperbloom – As the Electro unit causing this reaction, prioritize building EM on Kuki Shinobu to get the most Hyperbloom DMG you can
• 4pc Gilded Dreams and 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost are great sets in this type of team – While 4pc FoPL is “better” for her Hyperbloom DMG, 4pc Gilded is more resin-efficient to farm!
• You can also go with two 2pc +80 EM sets

Support / Healer

• General healing sets like Maiden’s Beloved and Ocean-Hued Clam are okay since Shinobu can heal with her Skill, but aren’t as great as other options
• Alternatively you can use 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith which has both HP % and an ATK buff for the party. This set can work great with her C2, which gives Shinobu 100% Skill uptime!
• 4pc Noblesse Oblige can also be a decent general Support set if your DPS scales off of ATK %
• Or two +20% HP sets (Tenacity and the new set, Vourukasha’s Glow) to maximize her HP/Healing
• 4pc Deepwood Memories can also work as a Support set if she is used in a Dendro team comp and no one else is holding this set

Main Stat & Substats

• Triple EM if you are using Shinobu to cause Hyperblooms
• HP % Main Stats preferred if you want more Healing from her Skill
• Generally she is a bit easier to build since she doesn’t require any CRIT (unless she uses Favonius Sword)
• In Quicken teams, she can be built with Electro Goblet and CRIT Circlet if you want to increase her personal damage

Weapon Options

EM Weapon options are really great for Kuki in Hyperbloom like Iron Sting (Craftable) and Toukabou Shigure (Limited-Time Event Weapon). There is also Dark Iron Sword (3-Star), but most players likely scrapped it by accident and you can only get one copy of this, unfortunately

Energy Recharge weapons can be good in Quicken teams as she doesn’t have to build EM

• Favonius Sword, Festering Desire, Skyward Blade
• Sapwood Blade – ER substat that can also buff EM for the active character

Team Comps

Hyperbloom – Hydro / Dendro / Flex or another Electro

• Hydro: Xingqiu, Yelan, Ayato, Neuvillette, Furina
• Dendro: Nahida, Collei, Dendro Traveler
• Flex characters that either can either buff, group, or provide extra DMG
  • Anemo characters with VV/Grouping: Kazuha, Sucrose
  • Electro off-field: Fischl, Beidou, Yae Miko
  • Or another Hydro/Dendro character if you like!

Aggravate / Spread – Dendro / 2nd Electro or Dendro character / Flex

• On-Field DPS: Alhaitham, Raiden, Keqing, Cyno, Tighnari
• Dendro application: Nahida, Dendro Traveler, Collei
• Electro application: Fischl, Beidou, Yae Miko, Raiden, Lisa
• Flex: Zhongli, Sucrose, Kazuha, other Anemo VV characters

Or Shinobu can be slotted in as a healer for any team that would benefit from her off-field Electro application/healing!

Notes

• Weapon options in my budget guides exclude weapons that are only obtainable from the weapon banner.
• This makes the Budget Guide friendlier to newer players, F2Ps, and low spenders.
• Materials for ascending the character to level 90/90 & talent levels 1 / 8 / 8.
• Potentially frees up resin that may be spent on leylines to farm artifacts instead.
