Hell Let Loose – Tips for New Squad Leaders

New Squad Leaders: How-To

  1. Communicate

Lots of people dont communicate in this game lately which makes the game nearly unplayable. However, all it takes is more people (especially squad leaders) communicating and marking things on the map (holding middle mouse button works too).

  1. Build Garrisons

This game is all about building garrisons. If your enemy has 3 attacking spawns and you have 1 defending spawn you will lose. Same goes for the other way around. You need to build garrisons in places that can help attack and defend objectives. You do not need a commander to build them. You have support roles in your squad for this reason. Once they drop their supplies you can build a garrison in any blue area of the map. If you are trying to build in the red zone it requires 100 supplies (1 air drop from commander or 2 supply drops from support roles).

  1. Flank the enemy

For some reason I notice alot of players just run in the same direction as everyone else over and over and over and die. Its so much easier and more fun to flank around the enemy position and sneak behind them or next to them and take them down as well as their spawns so your teammates can attack.

That it’s nothing to fear. Just do it. Get your feet wet. Many of us have done squad leader so often, we could be way higher than level 10. It was the first class I leveled to 10. Now, I need other people to do it so I can level other classes. MG and Engineer are now to level 10. Working on Support. The other classes I have gotten to at least level 4, other than tanks and recon. If I recall, those are all at level 3.

You can’t just sit around and wait for the same people to take SL every single match. People need to step up.
