HELLDIVERS 2 – Efficient Method for Farming Currencies

Method for Farming Currencies

To start, this is not a fun way to play the game and not something I’d necessarily recommend. Doing this while listening to a podcast or something might make this more tolerable.

This is an easy ways to grind Super Credits, Medals, XP, Req Slips, and Basic Samples fast. Like I said, this isn’t fun, but it works well.

For example, when you get efficient at this, you can get anywhere from 1-15+ (usually around 5-7) medals per 10 minute run solo, and it’s even faster in teams that split up.

  1. Go to a Trivial mission (level 1 difficulty). I’d suggest something like Angels Venture.
  2. Go to all the points of interest.
  3. Finish up the objective.
  4. Extract.
  5. Profit!

The key here is that trivial missions are very small areas and it’s common for the game to spawn up to 10 or more points of interest, though I have seen as few as 4 once.

A point of interest might have nothing of use (ammo cache), but many will have pickups that can be Super Credits, Medals (1-3), or Req Slips (100) , but can also have a weapon instead unfortunately.

These points of interest will typically form a ring around the outer 1/3 or so of the map, but the map is small so they aren’t hard to find and are not far from each other.

Important note! If you also read the HELLDIVERS 2 guide with tips, the gameplay will become much more interesting and exciting.

There are 3 important types of POIs.

  • First are downed drones that when opened only have 1 drop.
  • Second, which are decently common, are the container doors berried in the ground and have 2 drops. These will look like blue or red square door, like from a shipping container, and need to be blown open with a grenade. Often found near/below buildings.
  • Third are bunkers (aka friendship doors) that require 2 people to open (mostly useless for solo players) and will have 3 drops.

It’s very common for these POIs to have Basic Sample pick ups laying around, so even those bunkers can have something useful for solo players.

Since the game doesn’t scale XP and Req slips well based on difficulty, you’ll actually make a good amount of both, considering how fast you can finish the missions.

Useful Tips

  • You’ll know you found a POI because your character will yell something like “Found something”. And they’ll show up on the mini map once found.
  • Bug planets without hazards that reduce movement speed, stamina, or line of sight are best.
  • Missions with no water are best, as water takes up space that POIs would otherwise spawn in.
  • HVT maps aren’t great either, but not as bad as water. The tile set used for the enemy takes a bunch of space and has the same issue as water.
  • As mentioned, the POIs are in ring around the map. It’s not a perfect ring and sometimes a POI will spawn inside or outside that ring. POIs are often easy to spot on the mini map.
  • Day time maps are easier to visually spot POIs, but this becomes less of an issue as you get use to it.
  • Keep moving. Grenades will alert bugs and though they are easy to kill, avoiding them is faster and efficiency is key. As long as your not taking too long you can usually reduce combat to only the objective and extraction.
