I got in trouble for suggesting this last night, skill issue, they said. But this how you run 7 and up. I run 9s with randoms, it is, indeed, possible, and actually not that hard if you know the rules.
Keep the team moving. You should not ever be defending an empty field on high difficulty bugs. You are wasting time and will breach repeatedly before you have moved an inch on the map.
The way breaches work, is they can’t have multiple breaches at once. This is when you should be moving; if you’re moving the team, by the time the second breach hits at least you’re closer to the objectives. This also allows for smaller teams, even of individuals, to run around the map with ease while one or two people take breach agro.
If you sit and defend and empty field because there was a breach you are wasting everyone’s time and you’re gonna get everyone killed before extraction.
If someone sees a stalker the entire team should drop everything to destroy their nest, otherwise they’re gonna pick you off one by one.
Having someone with machine gun or stalwart helps for wave clearing. Everyone else should have railguns or nade launchers for bile titans, bile spewers, and chargers.
Waves get thicker as time goes on. By the 35th minute you’re gonna be molested by half a dozen chargers and bile titans constantly. So you should try and get in and out before it gets to this.
Rush objectives. At least if it gets too hairy and everyone dies, you still get your medals at the end, which is the most important currency.
Breaker works, but if you have unlocked scorcher you should try that.
I run scorcher + stalwart + shield, orbital railcannon, and eagle bombing run. This is not the sweatiest build, but it works fine for me. I like being able to take out lots of enemies, armored enemies, and do it all on the move. But I lose the ability to kill bile titans 🙁 Since they have small arms immunity, for whatever reason.
