HELLDIVERS 2 – Tips for Improving Gameplay

How to Improve Your Gameplay

Сrеdit gоеs to Mystic!

The Basics

I’ve noticed that players in HD2 are scared to take risks. No one likes failure, and even when I fail, I’m not a fan. But this game doesn’t limit you. Before the railgun/shield/breaker nerf, I didn’t use them on Helldive because I didn’t find them fun. They’re just one way to play the game, and it’s not necessary to win.

Loadouts and experimentation aren’t as bad as they seem. People criticize most primaries, but more of them are good than bad. Some are better against bugs, and others against bots, but they should complement your support weapon.

Support weapons are pretty decent, but people don’t know how to use them. For example, people complain about the reload speed for recoiless, but it’s a three-stage reload. If you’re mobile, you’ll have time to reload and shoot. EMS Strike is brilliant but underused. It can even help with the Complex Stratagem Plotting modifier. Eagles are a no-brainer, but consider quicker recharge call-ins like Precision Orbital Strike. Pay attention to the battlefield for ammo and call in resupplies whenever you can!

Two things determine victory: teamwork and understanding your weapon.

Teamwork is lacking. Bring diverse support weapons and think about what others take. Understand how to use your weapon properly. Too many mistakes are made in Impossible and Helldive. Suicide Mission is forgiving enough for experimentation, but constant errors won’t lead to success.

Closing Statement

The game has flaws, but after 200 hours, I disagree with a lot of criticism. It’s often a lack of understanding and being reactionary.

Think outside the box! This game rewards it! Not all stratagems and weapons are one-size-fits-all. Consider stratagem synergies and ways to counter the enemy’s strategies!
