MARVEL SNAP – Quick Guide to Deadpool’s Diner

Deadpool’s Diner Game Mode

Deadpool’s Diner is a limited time game mode where players bet a special currency (“Bubs”) before each match. You will start on table 1 (“Cereal”) with a small number of Bubs. As you win and earn more Bubs you will unlock access to higher tables with increased risk and reward, all the way up to table 15 (“Maximum Effort”). To date, there has only been one Deadpool’s Diner event, but Second Dinner plans to run the event every 2-3 months moving forward.

Snaps and Stakes

Stakes work differently in Deadpool’s Diner. Your cubes are replaced by Bubs, the currency of the Diner. All players start with 180 Bubs.

As normal, the stakes will be doubled if a player snaps. Uniquely, the stakes automatically double at the end of turns 4, 5, and 6. This means there are 5 total potential doubles; in a full game where both players snap, the winnings will be 32x higher than the starting Bubs.

Note that the stakes specifically double at the end of turn 6, not at the end of the game. This means that there is no extra double for a 7 turn game with Magik/Limbo.

When you start a game you will have to put some of your Bubs on the line as a wager. Each table has a maximum bet amount, which limits the number of Bubs that can be won or lost. This ranges from 320 Bubs for table 1 to 204.8 million Bubs for table 15. The starting stakes for a game is set at 1/32nd of the maximum bet, meaning there are 10 Bubs at stake at the start of a table 1 game and 6.4 million Bubs for table 15.

Each table also has a minimum bet requirement (equal to 25% if the maximum bet), and you will not be able to enter if you don’t have enough Bubs. If you bet all of the Bubs you have on a game then the stakes cannot go above that number; you are not able to win or lose more Bubs than you wagered to enter.

Bubs Regeneration

Bubs regenerate over time up to a cap. The starting regeneration cap is 240 Bubs. If you fall below your regeneration cap, your bubs will increase at a rate of 1/8th of the cap every hour, meaning a full refill if you lose all of your Bubs will take 8 hours.

You can increase your cap by unlocking Bub Refill Upgrades (see Rewards below), which allow you to eventually reach a regeneration cap of 30 million Bubs.

Rewards

Deadpool’s Diner has a cumulative reward track which measures the total Bubs you have won during the event (not your current number of Bubs). The high tier rewards include a new release Series 5 card, and will require you to climb to higher tables with more Bubs at stake. The new card is released to Series 5 after the event concludes.

The rewards for the first Deadpool’s Diner are as follows:

Leaderboard

A leaderboard tracks the cumulative Bubs earned by players during Deadpool’s Diner, and the top 100 players will receive the exclusive title “Best Bubs”.

Difficulty

The intention is for any player who engages with the game mode a moderate amount to be able to unlock all rewards. The mode does not have restrictions or limits on progression; with sufficient effort and skill you can climb to higher tables as fast as you want.

Event Frequency and Future Plans

Deadpool’s Diner is planned to return every 2-3 months with new rewards each time. Second Dinner intends for it to continue as a fun way to release new cards to players, and is using the feedback from the first Diner to evaluate the success of this approach.

I appreciate your time and hope this little tutorial was helpful.
