Looking for a specific card? Use [Ctrl+F] to find it!
A / B / C
Abomination
- Gains a new ability when paired with High Evolutionary.
Absorbing Man
- Copies the entire text of the last card you played if it has an on reveal ability, meaning he will copy Electro and Space Stone’s on reveal abilities AND Ongoing abilities.
- Cards pulled by Jubilee, Sakaar, Grand Central, etc. are not played, Absorbing man will copy the card played before those effects triggered.
- Once Absorbing Man gets a different effect, his old one is gone. Meaning that if you play Odin or another Absorbing Man, the new effect will be re-triggered/copied.
- Even after copying a different effect, Absorbing Man is still Absorbing Man. copying Thanos with him won’t give him the Power Stone +10 buff, copying Thor won’t give him the Mjolnir +6 buff.
Adam Warlock
- Adam Warlock’s effect triggers at the end of the turn. End of the turn effects trigger in play order, meaning:
- If I play Sunspot on turn one, Adam Warlock on turn 5 and the opponent plays High Evo Cyclops on turn 6, they will trigger in this order: Sunspot gains power, Adam Warlock draws a card if im winning the lane and Cyclops afflicts two of my cards in that location with -1 power.
- If Adam Warlock is revealed at the end of the game (via Dark Dimension or Supergiant for example), he won’t draw a card, even if you’re winning the lane
- End of the turn card effects (like this one) trigger after end of the turn location effects (like Asgard or Warrior Falls)
Aero
- Cards pulled by Sakaar, Grand Central, Jubilee, etc. do not count as played, Aero won’t move them.
Agatha Harkness
- At the start of the game, Agatha adds herself to your hand as a bonus draw and not the first draw like Quicksilver.
- Despite what her text says, Agatha starts in your deck (and is added to hand at the start of the game as mentioned above), meaning she can be copied by Loki and Quinjet won’t reduce her cost.
- When Agatha is in your hand, your turn timer is greatly reduced.
- Agatha plays your cards completely randomly, but she will play herself if she can (to a random location).
- When Ego is one of the locations, he’ll take over and play your cards for you even if Agatha is in your hand.
- At the end of the game, Agatha will receive all boosters gained that match.
Agent 13
- Cards created by Agent 13 will trigger Collector’s ability and the cards’ cost will be reduced by Quinjet.
- Agent 13 cannot generate Kang.
Agent Coulson
- Cards created by Agent Coulson will trigger Collector’s ability and the cards’ cost will be reduced by Quinjet.
- Agent Coulson cannot generate Kang.
Alioth
- When Alioth hits a trigger card (not Ongoing) that gains power in hand (ex: Red Hulk and Kitty Pryde), they will keep any power they already gained from their abilities but won’t be able to get additional power from their abilities.
- When Alioth hits a Mysterio, he’ll stop it from revealing at the end of the game, but not from playing the additional clones.
- If Alioth hits the real Mysterio, his power won’t go up to 4 at the end of the game.
Angel
- When you destroy multiple cards with one effect (ex: Killmonger), Angel will jump to the location of the first card that was destroyed.
- If you destroy a card but the board remains full, Angel will stay in deck.
Angela
- Angela’s effect triggers when you stage a card to her locations as long as it reveals in that location. if you play a card there and it was moved while unrevealed (by Juggernaut for example), Angela won’t get the buff.
- If the card was staged and revealed at her location but resolved in a different one (ex: Spider-Man, Angela’s ability will trigger.
- Angela’s effect wont be triggered by cards that were added/moved to her location (ex: Doctor Doom’s Doombots and Nightcrawler’s movement).
Annihilus
- When Annihilus’ ability triggers, he checks cards’ current power. This means if you have an Iron Man on Sewer system, Annihilus will send him to the opponents side because his current power is -1.
- Annihilus switches cards based on reveal order. if I have a lane with: The Hood and Sentry’s Void, The Hood will switch sides first, then The Void will switch.
- Annihilus can send himself to the opponents side if his power is lower than 0.
Ant-Man
- Ant-Man’s ability will trigger whether he’s alone or with any amount of other cards on Space Throne.
Apocalypse
- When Apocalypse’s ability triggers, it also triggers The Collector’s ability.
- When Dracula discards apocalypse, Dracula will gain Apocalypse’s power after he comes back to hand, meaning he will get Apocalypse’s +4.
- When you discard this effects (ex: Helicarrier and Proxima Midnight) go before When you discard a card effects (ex: Miek and Black Knight).
Armor
- Armor’s effect protects both revealed and unrevealed cards at her location.
- Galactus will destroy any card Armor is protecting, including Armor herself.
- When Armor moves, her effect turns on immediately; not when she resolves.
Arnim Zola
- Arnim Zola must destroy a card in order to create copies. If a card is indestructible, he won’t be able to copy it.
- Arnim Zola creates two copies, the left copy’s ability will activate before the right one’s.
- The rightmost copy acts like an unrevealed card (even if its visually revealed), until the leftmost copy resolves.
Attuma
- Attuma has an end of the turn effect. End of the turn effects trigger based on play order.
- example: if I play Sunspot on turn 1, Attuma on turn 4 (with priority) and the opponent plays High Evo Cyclops on turn 4 (without priority), the effects will trigger in this order:
- Sunspot gains power, Attuma will destroy himself if nothing is stopping him from doing so and Cyclops afflicts two of my cards in that location with -1 power.
- Attuma’s effect can be cancelled if you make him reveal at the end of the game using Dark Dimension, Invisible Woman or Supergiant.
- End of the turn card effects (like this one) trigger after end of the turn location effects (like Asgard or Warrior Falls).
Baron Mordo
- If your opponent has a Mobius in play, he’ll ignore Mordo’s cost increase; Baron Mordo won’t be able to set the card’s cost to 6 (unless that card costs more than 6) as long as Mobius’ ability is active.
- A friendly Mobius won’t stop the affected card’s cost from going back down at the end of turn 6.
- Baron Mordo’s cost increase turns off at the start of turn 6, not the end of it.
- The affected card’s cost can’t be reduced before turn 6, when Mordo’s effect turns off.
- Wave overrides Mordo’s effect and reduces the card’s cost to 4 even before turn 6.
Bast
- If you have a Luke Cage in play, he will stop Bast from decreasing cards’ power if their power was higher than 3 before Bast triggered right after you play them (their power will be 3 power as long as they’re in hand).
Beast
- Beast’s ability will not return unrevealed cards to hand.
- Beast will return cards based on their order in the location (top left card first, top right card second, etc.).
- Beast’s cost reduction will be blocked by Mobius.
Beta Ray Bill
- When Beta Ray Bill adds Stormbreaker to your deck, your deck is shuffled.
- Stormbreaker’s doubles Beta Ray Bill’s permanent power, meaning it will ignore buffs from cards like Blue Marvel and locations like Nidavellir.

Bishop
- Bishop’s effect won’t be triggered by cards that were added/moved and not played (ex: Doctor Doom’s Doombots and Nightcrawler’s movement).
Black Bolt
- If your opponent has a Morbius or Miek, Black Bolt will trigger their effects.
- If your opponent’s hand has two cards that share the same cost (the lowest cost), Black Bolt will randomly choose one of them.
Black Cat
- If Black Cat is drawn during a turn (via Crystal or Asgard for example), Black Cat will be discarded and you won’t get a chance to play her.
Black Knight
- Similar to how he interacts with Dracula, when Apocalypse is discarded, Black Knight will add the Ebony Blade to your hand with the bonus 4 power from Apocalypse’s ability.
- If you discard a card with less than 0 power, Ebony Blade’s power will remain at 0.
- Ebony Blade’s ability isn’t active when its unrevealed.
- When you discard this effects (ex: Helicarrier and Proxima Midnight) go before When you discard a card effects (ex: Miek and this one).
Black Panther
- Black Panther’s ability doubles his permanent power, meaning he will ignore buffs from cards like Blue Marvel and locations like Nidavellir.
Black Swan
- Black Swan’s ability reduces cards with 1 base cost, not current cost. so if a two cost card was reduced to 1 by Elysium, Black Swan won’t reduce it to 0, but if a one cost card was increased by Iceman for example, Black Swan will still reduce it to 0.
- Black Swan’s cost reduction will be blocked by Mobius.
Black Widow
- Widow’s Bite will stop the opponent from drawing cards, no matter what. that includes: Infinity Stones, locations and cards like Crystal.
Blob
- Blob stops merging cards after he gains 15 power from his ability. if he gained 14 power then merged a 3 power card, he’ll go to 17 and stop for example.
- If Blobs ability is re-triggered by a location like Kamar-taj or a card like Wong, he’ll be able to gain 15+ power again.
Brood
- When Brood creates the two Broodlings, they copy his permanent power, meaning Ongoing buffs don’t count. They’ll still get the Ongoing buff after resolving (if they’re supposed to); this line is here in case a future card or location somehow only buffs Brood but not Broodlings with its Ongoing ability.
Bucky Barnes
- If Bucky is destroyed while unrevealed (by Galactus for example), he won’t be able to create The Winter Solider.
- If Angel is in deck and Bucky gets destroyed, Winter Solider will spawn before Angel flies out
- If the location is full after Winter Soldier spawns, Angel will stay in deck.
Cable
- Cards stolen by cable will trigger Collector’s ability and the cards’ cost will be reduced by Quinjet.
Caiera
- Caiera does not protect unrevealed 1 and 6 cost cards from being destroyed.
- Galactus will destroy any card Caiera is protecting.
- Caiera only protects cards with 1 or 6 base cost, so if a card was reduced or increased to 3 or 4, Caiera will ignore it.
Cannonball
- When Cannonball targets a card that cannot be moved OR destroyed (ex: Colossus) he won’t add a rock at its location.
- If there are two enemy cards tied for highest power at Cannonball’s location, Cannonball will randomly choose which one gets moved/destroyed.

Colleen Wing
- If two or more of your cards in hand are tied for lowest cost, Colleen will randomly choose which one gets discarded.
Colossus
- Colossus’ ability isn’t active in hand or deck, so he’s not immune to Yondu or Hotel Inferno.
- If the opponent plays Scorpion, Colossus power will go down as long as hes in your hand. when you play him, he’ll regain the power Scorpion removed.
Corvus Glaive
- Corvus Glaive has to discard two cards in order to give you the bonus max energy; discarding one or none won’t work.
- Corvus’ discards trigger at the same time (not visually), meaning he won’t be able to discard any card that wasn’t in hand when the effect triggered (ex: cards created by Helicarrier and new Swarms).
- Max energy applies for all turns; after playing Corvus Glaive you’ll receive one extra energy each turn, even if he’s destroyed.

- Doctor Strange ignores himself when checking who the highest power card is.
Domino
- If you have more than one Domino in your deck before turn 2, one of them will work normally and the others will effectively be no ability cards.
- The ones that didn’t get drawn on 2 are still more likely to get drawn than other cards since you can’t draw Domino prior to 2.
Dracula
- Dracula checks the cards’ power after its discarded, meaning:
- He will gain Apocalypse’s power with the +4.
- If he discards Proxima Midnight or Wolverine and they jump to a location that increases their power (ex: Atlantis) he will receive their current power, including the buff from the location.

Elsa Bloodstone
- Elsa buffs the card right before its revealed.
- The card has to be staged and revealed at the same location in order to receive the buff.
- The card has to be in the fourth slot; if the location is filled by something like Squirrel Girl’s Squirrel and a card you played after Squirrel girl (on the same turn) reveals afterwards, it won’t get the buff because the location was filled by a squirrel and not that card.
- Elsa’s ability will trigger if you play one card on Space Throne, not four like other locations.
Enchantress
- Enchantress removes the entire text of any card at her location that has an Ongoing ability, meaning she will remove Space Stone and Electro’s On Reveal abilities. (they’ll still keep the power/energy gained from those abilities, but now they can’t be retriggered by Odin or Grand Master).

- If Havok doesn’t have any max energy to remove, he won’t gain power.
- When you have two Havoks in play, your energy will be going down by one each turn.
Hawkeye
- Hawkeye’s effect sticks to the location he revealed in, meaning, if either Hawkeye or the location are moved (ex: Hawkeye moved by Iron Fist or the location by Quake), you’ll still have to play a card in Hawkeyes old location in order to receive the buff.
- If Hawkeye is played and bounced on the same turn (via Luke’s Bar for example), his ability won’t work the following turn.
- If you replay Hawkeye after bouncing him, both his old trigger and the new one will work (playing a card on his previous location will immediately give him the buff).

- An enemy Leader won’t be able to copy your Hulk Buster unless you don’t have priority, and an enemy Gladiator won’t be able to destroy Hulk Buster (or the card it merged with) as long as the ability worked.
- Hulk Buster doesn’t change a cards cost; if you play it on a one cost card, that card can still get destroyed by Killmonger.
- Hulk Buster can’t merge with unrevealed cards.

Iron Lad
- Once Iron Lad gets a different effect, his old one is gone. Meaning that if you play Odin or Absorbing Man, the new effect will be re-triggered or copied.
- Even after copying a different effect, Iron Lad is still Iron Lad. copying Thanos with him won’t give him the Power Stone +10 buff, copying Thor won’t give him the Mjolnir +6 buff.
- If Iron Lad copies an Ongoing card, Echo will remove his abilities.
Iron Man
- Iron Man doubles your total power at the location, not just the cards’ power.
- If the location got +5 power via Ms. Marvel, Iron Man doubles that +5 to +10 alongside the cards’ power at the location.
Ironheart
- Ironheart randomly picks three friendly cards in play and gives them +2 power.
J / K / L

- Jane Foster only draws from your own deck, even if Weirdworld is active.
Jean Grey
- Jean Grey forces both players to play their first card each turn to her location. However, if she’s currently on a locked location (ex: Sanctum Sanctorum), players will be able to ignore her effect.
- If Jean Grey and Goose are in play on the same lane and you only have 4-6 cost cards in your hand, you’ll be able to play them in different lanes even if you didn’t play in Jean’s lane first.
- When Jean Grey is moved via manual move effects like Cloak or New York, her effect sticks to her old location until the next turn starts.

- Jeff can’t be played or moved to a location with 4 cards.
- Jeff can’t be played or moved to the opponents side of the board.

- Jessica Jones’ effect sticks to the location she revealed in, meaning if either Jessica or the location are moved (ex: Jessica moved by Iron Fist or the location by Quake), you’ll still have to avoid playing a card in her old location in order to get the buff.
Jubilee
- When Jubilee pulls a card that looks at the last card played (ex: Absorbing Man, Mystique or Taskmaster), they’ll target the card played before Jubilee because Jubilee is not resolved (in play) yet.
- Jubilee will trigger “After you play a card here” effects after the card she pulled resolves.
- If the card Jubilee pulled has an “on reveal: after your next card” ability (ex: Nico and Iron Fist), she will activate it.
- If the card Jubilee pulled has a trigger “after you play a card here” ability (ex: Angela and Silk), she won’t activate it.
Juggernaut
- When Juggernaut moves an unrevealed card, that card won’t trigger “After you play a card here” effects in both its new location and the old one.
- When the opponent played more cards than Juggernaut can move, he will move the cards based on the order they were played in.
Ka-Zar
- Kazar only buffs cards with base one cost, not cards that had their cost reduced to 1.
Kang The Conqueror
- If you play Kang on the same turn you draw him, you will draw a different card instead (after Kang resets the turn).
- Playing Kang won’t change any RNG outcomes such as what card Gambit targets or what location Scarlet Witch rolls as long as they were played on the same location.
- Your opponent can change their plays after you play Kang.
- After Kang resets the turn, he removes ALL Kangs on your board, hand, and deck.
- If Kang is revealed at the end of the game (via Invisible Woman or Dark Dimension for example) his effect won’t do anything.
- If you (or your opponent) snap on the turn Kang is played, Kang will cancel the snap.
Killmonger
- Killmonger only targets cards with base one cost, not cards that had their cost reduced to 1.

- Thanos can be played into locations that a normal 6 cost wouldn’t be able to enter such as The Big House, Sanctum Sanctorum, a full Space Throne and Miniaturized Lab.
- Thanos can be played as a second card if Electro or Sandman are in play.
- Thanos can bypass effects like Jean Grey and Morag.
- Thanos can be indirectly moved in and out of locked locations (the ones mentioned above) by other cards or locations such as Strange Academy and Heimdall.
- Thanos can’t be played if you don’t have enough energy to play him.
- Thanos can’t be played or moved to a location with 4 cards.
- Thanos can’t be played or moved to the opponents side of the board.
- Thanos can be played into Professor X’s lane.
- Space Stone can’t draw if you have Widow’s Bite in hand.
Time Stone:
- Mobius will stop time stone from reducing Thanos’ cost, but it will still draw a card.
- Time Stone can’t draw if you have Widow’s Bite in hand.
The Collector
- Collector gets +1 power anytime a card is added to hand in a way that isn’t:
- Drawing from your own deck (meaning Cable and Weirdworld will buff him).
- Transforming.
The Hood
- Adding a Demon to hand triggers The Collector’s ability.
The Infinaut
- Infinaut can be played on turn one with Project Pegasus since you didn’t do anything the turn before that, because the turn doesn’t exist.
The Living Tribunal
- Living Tribunal’s effect goes last so he can account for everything.
- If you have an Iron Man in an empty lane, he won’t double the power added to the lane by The Living Tribunal.
- Baxter Building and Crown City won’t see Living tribunal’s added or removed power, they’ll count the power in the lane without his effect.
- If your total power is 3+1 Tribunal will round it down, if its 3+2 he will round it up.
The Thing
- Gains a new ability when paired with High Evolutionary.
Thor
- When Thor adds Mjolnir to your deck, your deck is shuffled.
- Mjolnir will buff all available Thors on your side of the board.
Titania
- Titania’s effect triggers when a card is staged and revealed at her lane, not necessarily resolved.
- An enemy Titania will reduce your Mockingbird’s cost by one (when she’s on your side).
Typhoid Mary
- This effect can be stopped by Luke Cage.
Uatu The Watcher
- Uatu may let you see the right location early, but its effect isn’t active until the start of turn 3.
- Uatu will only reveal the third location if he was in your deck when the game started; getting him from a location like The Hub won’t work.
Ultron
- Ultron cannot add Drones to full locations.
V / W / X
Valkyrie
- The negative parts of this effect can be stopped by Luke Cage.
- Valkyrie doesn’t turn off Ongoing abilities. if you play Valkyrie on a Namor in an empty lane, his permanent power will go from 6 to 3 and he’ll gain +5 from his own ability.
- Valkyrie’s ability effects ALL cards in the lane, including herself.
Venom
- Venom can’t destroy unrevealed cards.
- Venom gains the cards’ current power, so if he destroys a Sabretooth on Nidavellir, he’ll gain +9 from it.
- If Venom tries to destroy a negative power card while Luke Cage is in play, his power won’t go down.
Viper
- Viper can’t make an unrevealed card switch sides.
- Viper targets cards based on their current power, not base power.
- If multiple cards in Viper’s lane are tied for the lowest power, Viper will randomly choose one of them.
Vision
- Vision can move into locations that cards cant be played into (ex: Sanctum Sanctorum).
Wasp
- Gains a new ability when paired with High Evolutionary.
War Machine
War Machine will allow you to play any card as long as you have enough energy and space for it. this means that:
- You’ll be able to play Infinaut without skipping a turn.
- You’ll be able to play cards into Ebony Maw’s location.
- You’ll be able to play cards into Professor X’s location.
- You’ll be able to play Ebony Maw after turn 3.
- You’ll be able to play Giganto, Crossbones and Cull Obsidian anywhere.
- You’ll be able to play cards that cost 4-6 into Goose’s lane.
- You’ll be able to play more than one card into Space Throne.
- You’ll be able to play more than one card per turn when Sandman or Electro are in play.
You won’t be able to:
- Move cards into lanes they can’t normally move into.
- Add a fifth card in a location.
- Play a card on your opponents side of the board.
- Add cards (via Jubilee for example) into locked locations.
- Play cards into destroyed locations (ex: Galactus)
Wave
- Wave’s effect doesn’t stack with other cost related effects meaning the only way Wave can reduce a cards cost to 4 is if its cost would be higher than 4 without Wave.
- Mobius will stop Wave’s cost reduction.
Werewolf by Night
- Werewolf moves when an On Reveal card resolves, not when an On Reveal ability activates. That means…
- Werewolf will move to an On Reveal card on deep space.
- Werewolf won’t move to the middle lane after Grand Master moves a card there and activates its ability.
- Werewolf will move to an On Reveal card if its ability was stopped by Cosmo or Knowhere.
- Werewolf won’t move to a card if it was resolved without an On Reveal ability (ex: Hulk buster merging with a non On Reveal card, Nico turning the card into a Demon or Morph turning into a non-On Reveal card.).
- When Rogue, Mystique or Iron Lad copy an Ongoing ability, Werewolf won’t move to their location.
- Werewolf won’t move to an On Reveal card if its ability was removed (by Leech for example) .
- Werewolf won’t move to a full lane.
- Werewolf will move to the lane the On Reveal card resolved in, that means if you play Spider-Man, Werewolf will move to the location Spider-Man moves to, and not his original one.
- Werewolf can move to deep space, but can’t move out of deep space with his ability.
White Queen
- If two or more of your opponents cards in hand are tied for highest cost, White Queen will randomly choose which one gets Copied.
- Cards created by White Queen will trigger Collector’s ability and the cards’ cost will be reduced by Quinjet.
White Tiger
- White Tiger randomly chooses where the Tiger Spirit goes.
- White Tiger cannot add a Tiger Spirit to a full location.
- White Tiger randomly chooses what location the Tiger Spirit gets added to, even if one location has more empty spots than the other.
Wolfsbane
- Wolfsbane’s ability counts both revealed and unrevealed cards.
Wolverine
- If your board is full and you discard/destroy Wolverine, he won’t regenerate.
- Wolverine randomly chooses which location he regenerates in.
- When you discard this effects (ex: Helicarrier and Proxima Midnight) go before When you discard a card effects (ex: Miek and Black Knight).
Wong
- Wong’s effect doubles On Reveal abilities even if the card wasn’t played.
- If you play Jubilee on Wong’s lane and pull Doctor Doom and Ironheart, both Doctor Doom and Ironheart will trigger twice.
- Wong’s effect stacks additively, if you have 3 Wongs (or Kamar-Taj/a Mystique with Wong’s effect) your On Reveals will only trigger 6 times at that location, not 8.
X-23
- If your board is full and you discard/destroy X-23, she won’t regenerate.
- X-23 randomly chooses which location she regenerates in.
- When you discard this effects (ex: Helicarrier and Proxima Midnight) go before When you discard a card effects (ex: Miek and Black Knight).
Y / Z
Yellowjacket
- Yellowjacket does not afflict unrevealed cards with -1 power.
- This effect can be stopped by Luke Cage.
Yondu
- If two or more of your opponents cards in deck are tied for lowest cost, Yondu will randomly choose which one gets destroyed.
- For the most part, abilities are not active in deck; when Yondu destroys a card with an “after you destroy this” ability (ex: X-23), it won’t trigger.
Zabu
- Zabu only reduces the cost of base 4 cost cards, if a card was reduced or increased to 4, Zabu will ignore it.
- An enemy Mobius will stop Zabu from decreasing your cards’ cost.
- A friendly Mobius won’t stop your cards’ costs from going back up after Zabu’s effect is over.
Zero
- Zero removes all abilities right before the card reveals, meaning:
- You won’t be able to play The Infinaut without skipping since his ability is active in hand and Zero removes abilities before the card is revealed
- Any On Reveal or Ongoing ability played right after Zero won’t trigger.
New Cards
Baron Zemo
- Baron Zemo looks at a card’s current cost, so he’ll account for cards who had their cost reduced or increased in deck (via Pixie for example).
- If two or more of your opponents’ cards in deck are tied for lowest cost, Baron Zemo will randomly choose which one gets added to your side of his location.
- If your opponents’ deck is empty, Baron Zemo won’t do anything.
- The card added by Baron Zemo will reduce Mockingbird’s cost by one.
- If the card Baron Zemo pulled has an “after you play a card here” ability, he will activate it.
Red Hulk
- Red Hulk will reveal himself to the opponent when he gains power from his ability.
- Red Hulk has to be in hand or in play in order to receive power.
- Red Hulk’s effect triggers at the end of each turn (like Sunspot).
- Red Hulk only gains +4 power once per turn, no matter how much unspent energy your opponent has.
U.S. Agent
- U.S. Agent only afflicts cards with 4, 5 or 6 base cost, so if a card was reduced or increased to 4, 5 or 6, U.S. Agent will ignore it.
- U.S. Agent’s ability can be blocked by Luke Cage.
- If U.S. Agent’s ability is copied by Iron Lad, he will reduce his own power.
Red Guardian
- If two or more of your opponent’s cards are tied for lowest power, Red Guardian will randomly choose which one gets silenced and afflicted.
- Red Guardian’s affliction can be stopped by Luke Cage (if his ability is active).
- Removing a cards’ text means:
- On Reveal cards won’t be able to retrigger (via Odin or Grand Master) but they will still keep any power/energy gained from those abilities from prior triggers.
- Ongoing cards will lose any power gained from their ability.
- Trigger cards (ex: Angela and Kraven) will keep any power they already gained from their ability but won’t be able to get additional power from their abilities after Red Guardian removed them.
White Widow
- Widow’s Kiss’ effect can be stopped by Luke Cage
- If your opponent fills Widow’s Kiss’ lane, then removes a card from it (via moving, returning to hand, or destroying), Widow’s Kiss will go back down to -4.
- Widow’s Kiss will reduce an enemy Mockingbird’s cost by one.
- Widow’s Kiss’ ability will trigger whether its alone or with any amount of other cards on Space Throne.
- Widow’s Kiss’ base power is 0, if you remove its effect (via Red Guardian or Enchantress for example), it won’t remain at -4 power.
- Widow’s Kiss’ power modifier is a reduction (-4) one, not set (= -4); it will discount Evolved Abomination’s cost as long as the effect is active.
Valentina
- Valentina’s cost reduction can be stopped by Mobius.
- Valentina’s power affliction can be stopped by Luke Cage.
- Valentina can generate Agatha.
- Cards created by Valentina will trigger Collector’s ability and the cards’ cost will be reduced by Quinjet.
Blink
- Blink looks at a card’s base cost when swapping.
- Blink looks at a card’s base cost when pulling out of the deck.
- If your deck does not have any cards that cost more than the card you’re trying to use Blink on, she won’t do anything.
- Blink will not swap a card into a different one that shares the same base cost.
- Blink triggers the On Reveal ability of the pulled card.
- When Blink is pulled by a card such as Jubilee, she’ll target the card played before Jubilee because Jubilee is not resolved (in play) yet.
- If the card Blink is supposed to swap is no longer in play (destroyed, returned to hand or shuffled into the deck), she won’t do anything.
- If Blink pulls a card with an “after you play a card” (ex: Bishop), “after you play your next card” (ex: Nico Minoru) or “after you play a card here” (ex: Angela if she’s in the same lane as her) effect, she will trigger them.
- When Blink swaps a card that is currently on your opponents side (ex: Green Goblin), the new card will be swapped onto your side of the board.
- If your side of the board is full, Blink will put the card in deck but won’t add a new one.
Nocturne
- Nocturne swaps the location she moves to, not the one she was at before moving.
- Nocturne’s effect triggers whenever she moves, whether it was via her own ability or a different one.
- Nocturne shares the same location rarities as the default 3 locations in a match.
- Nocturne’s effect is not affected by hot locations.
- Nocturne’s effect will work when she’s moved out of Deep Space, but won’t do anything when she’s moved into it.
Sage
- Sage looks at cards’ current power, not base power.
- Sage will ignore herself when looking for unique power at her lane.
- Sage accounts for both enemy and friendly cards.
- If two or more cards in Sage’s lane share the same power, Sage will only count one of them for her ability.
- Example: in a lane with 7 two-power cards and Sage, she’ll get +2 once.
Namora
- Namora won’t buff cards that are “by themselves” if an unrevealed/moved card is there with them.
- Namora cannot buff herself.
Sasquatch
- Sasquatch’s cost reduction can be stopped by Mobius.
- A card must be staged in order to count for Sasquatch’s ability, it doesn’t have to reveal.
- Mysterio’s illusions count as played cards; he will discount Sasquatch by 3.
Gilgamesh
- Increased power means green power; Gilgamesh will receive +1 power from each card on your side of the board with green power.
- Gilgamesh will not receive power from cards that received a buff then lost it (ex: +1 power then -2).
Thena
- If you play Thena and exactly one other card, she will gain power.
- Mysterio and each of his clones count as one played card each; they can stop Thena’s ability.
- End of the turn card effects trigger after end of the turn location effects; this means that Thena will trigger after locations like Asgard and Rickety Bridge.
Sersi
- Sersi can transform tokens (such as Brood’s Broodlings or Squirrel Girl’s Squirrels).
- Sersi only looks at a card’s base cost when transforming.
- Sersi can transform two or more cards of the same cost into the same card in the same trigger.
- When Sersi transforms a card into a card that targets the last card played (ex: Absorbing Man), that card will target the card played right before Sersi because she’s not resolved yet.
- The transformed card’s ability will trigger after the transformation.
- When transforming multiple cards, she will transform them one at a time, and their On Reveal abilities will go in order right after each transform is complete.
- Sersi cannot transform cards into tokens (examples mentioned above).
- 6-cost cards will not transform into Death.
- Sersi cannot transform cards into Kang.
Makkari
- Makkari’s “run” does not count as playing her for “after you play a card” related effects.
- Makkari can run into unplayable locations (like Sanctum Sanctorum) but not locked ones (like Miniaturized lab, Professor X, or a full location).
Phastos
- Phastos’ buffs are unique to each card; he can give one card +2 power and another -1 cost.
- Phastos can “give” 0 cost cards -1 cost.
- Phastos’ cost reduction can be stopped by Mobius.
Arishem
- Arishem cannot generate the same card twice.
- When Arishem generates a card with an “at the start of the game” (like Agatha, Thanos stones, Uatu, or The High Evolutionary) ability, that card’s ability will not trigger.
- Abilities like Quicksilver, and the second part of Thanos’ ability (being in your starting hand) will trigger.
- Arishem can generate another Arishem.
- Arishem can’t generate Kang.
- Cards generated by Arishem will reduce Mockingbird’s cost and have their cost reduced by Quinjet.
- Max energy applies for all turns; after the game starts you’ll receive one extra energy each turn, even if Arishem is destroyed or disabled.
- If Arishem and The High Evolutionary are in the same starting deck, theres a 50% chance for no ability cards generated by Arishem to get abilities from High Evo.
- If Arishem is shuffled higher in the starting deck, cards generated by him will get abilities from High Evo. If High Evo is shuffled higher in the starting deck, cards generated by Arishem won’t get abilities from High Evo.
- Arishem adds cards to your deck before you draw your starting hand.
Gwenpool
- Gwenpool can hit the same card more than once in the same trigger.
Hydra Bob
- Hydra Bob counts snaps from either player.
- Hydra Bob only moves on the turn you (or your opponent) snapped.
- If either player plays Kang after snapping, Bob will ignore that snap since Kang removed it.
- Hydra Bob will only move once per turn, even if both players snapped.
- End of the turn card effects trigger after end of the turn location effects; this means that Hydra Bob will trigger after locations like Asgard and Rickety Bridge.
- When the bubs automatically double in Deadpool’s Diner, Bob won’t move; he only moves if a player snapped.
Ajax
- Ajax checks if the card has a negative power modifier and will work even if the card’s power is not red.
- Ajax’s effect does include himself; if his power gets reduced he’ll get +1 power (once).
- Ajax counts cards on both sides.
- Ajax will lose power gained from afflicted cards if the player in control of those cards has Luke Cage.
- When Shadow King “resets” a card’s power, Ajax will not lose any power gained from that card.
- Ajax can only gain +1 power from a card once, no matter how many times it lost power.
- If you play a card that sets other cards’ power (ex: Valkyrie) and hit a card that originally had 4+ power, Ajax’s power won’t go up.
Cassandra Nova
- Stealing power means afflicting the target with -x power and adding x power to Cassandra.
- Luke Cage can stop Cassandra’s affliction once her target makes it to the board, but he won’t remove the power Cassandra gained from her ability.
Copycat
- Copycat does not show your opponent what ability she took when she’s drawn; only when yoy play her.
- If Copycat is randomly generated/pulled to the board before being drawn by an effect like X-Mansion or Jubilee, her ability won’t do anything.
- Copycat doesn’t copy the effect of the bottom card in the opponent’s deck, she steals it; if the opponent draws that card, it won’t have an ability.
Hawkeye Kate Bishop
- Kate’s Arrows will trigger Collector’s ability, have their cost reduced by Quinjet (if it was increased by a different source, Quinjet doesnt reduce to 0) and reduce Mockingbird’s cost by 1.
Acid Arrow
- An enemy Acid Arrow will reduce your Mockingbird’s cost by one.
Basic Arrow
- Basic Arrow’s effect sticks to the location it revealed in; if either Basic Arrow or the location are moved (ex: Basic Arrow moved by Iron Fist or the location by Quake), you’ll still have to play a card in Basic Arrow’s old location in order to receive the buff.
- If Basic Arrow is played and bounced on the same turn (via Luke’s Bar for example), its ability won’t work the following turn.
- If you replay Basic Arrow after bouncing it, both its old trigger and the new one will work (playing a card on its previous location will immediately give its the buff).
Grapple Arrow
- Grapple Arrow’s effect triggers after the next card you play resolves, meaning if you re-trigger Grapple Arrow’s effect with Odin, Grand Master or Jubilee, it’ll move those cards and not the card played after them.
- Grapple Arrow’s effect sticks to the location it revealed in; if either Grapple Arrow or the location are moved (ex: Grapple Arrow moved by Iron Fist or the location by Quake), its effect will remain attached to the old location.
Pym Particle Arrow
- Pym Particle Arrow’s ability will trigger whether it’s alone or with any amount of other cards on Space Throne.
Marvel Boy
- Marvel Boy only buffs cards with 1 base cost.
- End of the turn card effects trigger after end of the turn location effects; this means that Marvel Boy will trigger after locations like Asgard and Rickety Bridge.
Wiccan
- Wiccan will work even if you had unspent energy on the turn you played him.
- Max energy applies for all turns; after successfully activating Wiccan, you’ll receive two extra energy each turn, even if he’s destroyed.
Speed
- Speed will gain power from turns before he was played if you spent all your energy in them.
Emperor Hulkling
- Hulkling copying start of the game effects like Agatha or Thanos will not make him start in your hand or summon the infinity stones respectively.
- Copying Thanos will however make him start in your opening hand as that part does not trigger at the start of the game.
- If Hulkling is randomly generated by an effect like X-Mansion or Nick Fury, his ability won’t do anything.
I sincerely hope this was helpful. Good luck to you!
