Metal Slug: Awakening - Starter Guide

I wanted to make a simple starting guide for all the new players questioning what to use/prioritize within the realm of Awakening from what ive seen!

Basic Guide for New Players

What should you use your stamina on?

Usually when you start your day, you should do the bare minimum for daily’s and look to focus 3 things, do you need cores maxed, do you need weapon levels/evolutions, and what missions can you complete in the special training tab.

If Cores

You should run your Join Op operations for the sole reason of not only acquiring new cores, but you also get a higher amount of upgrade materials than you would in arcade! If you finish your weekly JO then you should focus arcades variation and keep maxing your cores for your current level (Cores are one of the most important stat boosters so take info from this Cores guide and build what you like).

If Weapons

Weapons usually just get upgraded as you go, yet at some points your gonna need mod chips, which can be found in the arcade under The Weapon Mod Lab with higher tiers only being acquired from progressing the story, leading into leveling up. You usually only need to do this once every few days with the leveling progress stopping you and allowing you at points.

The Special Training Tab

This is a personal opinion but I would recommend doing as much as you can from the missions after focusing on one of the 2 above. The rewards arent as crazy, however they accumulate in a nice progression that can give you something to do in your off time!

More completions means more rewards!

What should you use your sapphire on?

Overall there’s multiple ways to efficiently spend your Sapphire if your both a F2P or a big money spender. These include things like Stamina, Gacha Pulls, and Wishlist Treasure.

Stamina

Stamina purchasing is arguably the most important out of the three due to the amount of progression you get from acquiring more upgrades, materials, XP, and more! Not really much else to say but progression.

Gacha Pulls

These are the bread and butter of acquiring new weapons, characters, items, and more! It is recommended to only pull with 10 pickaxes mainly for the guaranteed excellent or rare which can be used for licenses shown in ⁠Weapon License. It is also recommended you pull till your first legendary weapon weather its from luck or the guaranteed pity (300 Rolls = 300 Dig Points), and then pull characters since a lot of characters need their weapons for their full utility within a team comp.

Wishlist Treasure Store

Here is where you should only buy 1 thing and one thing only, Character shards, you can get 2 shards with sapphire daily and if you purchase 1 a day for 5 days, you get free weapon shards! Its 100% only used for the shards IMO but if you got nothing else to spend on and you need that 1 specific weapon shard epic or higher, go for it.
