Remnant 2 – Performance Optimized Settings

How to Optimize Performance Settings

TLDR: Put shadows on medium.

I found that the Shadows settings greatly impacts fps, while the other settings don’t do as much. In fact, dropping Shadows from high to medium gave me +15-20 fps on the worst performing dungeon for me right now. From 32 fps to 56 fps.

Fiddling with all the other settings didn’t give me a noticible fps increase, so I just left those on Ultra. DLSS to performance didn’t give any increase at all as well, so I put it on quality.

Here are all the settings I use:

  • Framecap 60, to reduce fps swings as much as possible
  • DLSS: Quality
  • Shadows: Medium
  • All others: Ultra.

My rig can reach 80-90 fps on other parts of the game (with shadows also on ultra), it’s just this dungeon in N’Erud that gave me the worst performance by far.
