A quick guide to everything you need to know about Crops in Rusty’s Retirement game.
Guide to Crops

Irregation and water cycles
The way plant growth works is that you need a certain amount of watering cycles to grow the plant, the wetness of the ground lasts for the time needed to grow divided by the number of cycles needed to irrigate total. For example, the radish to the side has a growth time of 2 minutes and 3 cycles of irrigation needed, meaning each watering gives it 40 seconds of growth time.
Fertilizers efect on water cycles
Times when the ground isn’t irrigated do not count towards the two minutes. When using fertilizer, the time is reduced by 25%, being 1 minute and 30 seconds in this case, so every water cycle would last 30 seconds instead of the usual 40 seconds.
A bit on biofuel converters
When spinning the biofuel converter, all the plants within are summed to give you the biofuel extracted, meaning that if you do upgrade the bots that transport it to carry more, the 3 plants (maximum) in each slot will count towards the biofuel produced total. If you have 3 radishes, 1 in each slot, at the end of processing you get 3 biofuels, but if you upgrade the bots, you may have 9 radishes, 3 per slot, giving you 9 total biofuels. While it’s true you won’t get any bonus biofuel, it’s more time efficient since you are condensing 3 spins of the converter to a single one, allowing more compact setups.
Inefficiency of (watering) bots
Due to the bots speed and animation the efficiency will inevatible be dragged down. The last shows an example of those inefficienies.

Giant Crops
Giant Crops have a chance of 1 in 4096 to spawn. Additionally the surrounding crops need to be the same. They can be destroyed by clicking a few times. There is also a golden variant which can (currently) only be destroyed by destroying the plot below.
