SCUM – How to Find/Change Single Player Server Settings

Guide to Find/Change Single Player Server Settings

Your single player game is essentially its own server (unlike a multiplayer server, however, time stops when you log out in single player).

You will have almost all the same settings for your single player game that server owners have for their multiplayer servers.

You can change most of these settings using the in-game Server Settings section under the ESC Menu (press ESC while in-game to access).

You can also modify the local text file on your PC to make changes to your single player server

It is highly recommended that you take a copy of the original file and store it in a different location as a backup, in case anything goes wrong

To find your ServerSettings.ini file for single player, follow these steps:

  • Close SCUM (or you will get an error).
  • Press Windows Key + R to open a Run box.
  • Paste this into the box and press Enter:
%localappdata%\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  • Open the file called ServerSettings and modify what you want, then Save.
  • The game will load the changes next time you launch single player.

Some settings have limits, so if you make changes and they do not seem to apply, it is possible something is above maximum value, or there is a similar issue.
